What wattage should I use for my leopard geckos in a 20L tank?
Answer by ChewyDec 14, 2017
Leopard geckos are nocturnal and do not require a UVB light, it may be used for day lighting though. We'd recommend a 25 watt bulb at the most in a 5 gallon tank.

What wattage should I use for a Russian tortoise to bask under?
Answer by ChewyDec 05, 2017
Depending on how big your tank is would determine the wattage your tortoise needs. If you're using the minimum 75-gallon tank required for a Russian tortoise, we recommend a 100-Watt bulb for their habitat. They should be basking at temperatures between 90-100 degrees Fahrenheit and we encourage pet parents to have a thermometer in their basking area to monitor the temperature.

Will these be effective in a 40gallon tank enclosure for a beardie?
Answer by ChewyMar 16, 2022
The 100 or 150 watt basking spot lamp would be more suitable for a bearded dragon in a 40 gallon tank.

Does it come with a heat bulb??
Answer by ChewyJul 19, 2021
This listing is only for the Repti Basking Spot® Lamp that has a unique patented double reflector that focuses 35% more heat and light into a tight beam. It increases the overall ambient air temperature and mimics the tropical and desert climates diurnal reptiles are used to.

Both bulbs burned out very quickly.

I am extremely disappointed in the quality of these bulbs. I purchased from Chewy on 3/28. The first bulb lasted about 4 days. The second, 35 days. I do what is suggested in that I handle the bulbs with gloves, but 2 bulbs in less than 6 weeks is very disappointing when the box says #1 Reptile Basking Spot Lamp on the box.

100 watt basking bulb.

the bulb flickered from the moment we put it in the light fixture. Literally have to fight with the bulb to get it to work properly. After 2 weeks the whole bulb is out completely. Very disappointing. Also why does this say 2 pack and I only got one bulb?

Consistent Disappointment

Find another brand and save your money. I've bout 4 boxes of this product in the past and I am lucky if a bulb lasts 2 months. Granted, while they work they do a good job. But not worth the inconsistency.

Great items & service

Makes life easier just to be able to get my supplies thru Chewy each month rather then to have to go to the store. Prices & service is great & love being on auto ship.

Product itself is great, had shipping issues on this order

Consistent quality issues

I have been using these bulbs for 3 years and go through them more quickly than expected. The bulbs burn out very quickly. I used to think it was the fact that we were swinging the lamp to open the lid of the tank, but even with the new setup of the front loader, these bulbs are a disappointment. Its sad because they are necessary but very unreliable. I am trying another brand after the last one only lasted 11 days of use in the lamp.

Not worth the money

They work well when they work. They burn out so fast. Usually within a few weeks to a month.

Doesn't last

Says 2,000 hours of use but never lasts more than 500.
