How do you clean the hoses

Is this an inside the tank filter or outside the be tank? If it's an outside the tank filter, can it sit on the same level as the tank or does it need to be lower?

This is an external filter to be placed outside the tank. Be sure that the filter is at the same level of the tank (not below the tank). Do not lay the filter on its side.

Can the 75 gallon filter be used on a 120 gallon tank with only 60 gallons of water in it?

How many gals per hour does this filter?

The 50 gallon model has a 200 gallon per hour (gph) rating. The 75 gallon model has a 265 gallon per hour (gph) rating.

Didn’t work

It didn’t do anything drained and added all clean water within a few days the water wasn’t even clear. Hoses very cheap and collapse. Tried to return it. Was

It didn’t do anything drained and added all clean water within a few days the water wasn’t even clear. Hoses very cheap and collapse. Tried to return it. Was always pleased with chewy and have spent a lot of money with them over many years. Not anymore tried returning this filter since august 14th and have gotten nothing but run around. In my next shipment something was broken. Chewy is not what it once was and it should not take months to get your money back. I am now told will take another 6 to 8 weeks. So sorry to see chewy going down hill like this always loved them.

Doesn’t work

Got this for my 40 gallon and it stopped working after about 3 weeks. I keep taking it apart trying to figure out what isn’t working but can’t figure anything out

Fantastic filter. Easy set up.

One of the easiest canister set ups I’ve ever had. It’s only been a month but my turtle tanks are still crystal clear. I haven’t had to change the materials yet

So clean!

My very messy turtle still has a very clean tank after 3 weeks of use. So much better then the normal filter cartridges! Well worth the cost so far.

The size of the filter elements

Great filter! Large size filters my 60 gallon tank with ease. Multiple filter elements keep the water extra clean. When cleaning the filter the twist shutoff valve
