  • Great supplement for my Eclectus

    By on

This is the best. Eclectus are not a seed bird, but love to crunch food. So give him a bowl couple times a week along side his daily cooked veggie, bean & pasta. I layer treats in with this and he loves eating this for the crunch & finding treats through out. Top it off with a few of the yogurt covered sunflower seeds. Love the fact this is all natural with no color/food die. Thank you Chewy for making this avaliable and so easy to purchase with auto ship.

  • Healthy Diet

    By on

This is our first bag of this Variety. Trying to switch two rescues over to a healthy food choice as they came from being fed wild bird seed! So far they will not even try this Variety!! They do like some of Smart Selects. Will continue to offer and hope they come around.

  • Feed with water close by for better initial acceptance

    By on

I've fed Zupreem to an Orange Winged Amazon, and two African Greys with good success. The Amazon prefers the Fruit Blend and my current Grey prefers the Natural, but both like to have water close by so they can soften the nuggets while they eat. It took both about 3 months to fully accept pellets because they'd been on less varied and healthy diets, but both enjoy pellets as part of a diet of cooked and fresh fruits and veggies, pellets and limited seeds. <br> Birds waste food...all kinds. It's part of the deal when you get a bird. Don't assume your bird isn't eating any if you find pellets in the bottom of the cage. • Easy and no mess

    By on

My parrot is a picky eater. Seeds make such a mess so I went to pellets. She does not like the fruity ones so I feed these and she loves them.

  • ZuPreem Natural with Vitamins, Minerals & Amino Acids Parrot & Conure Bird Food

    By on

I have a 25 year old+ Senegal parrot. While he loves his sunflower seeds, I always supplement with other kinds of seeds or nuts, fresh, raw corn on the cob and other fruits and vegetables and an occasional egg. I never tried pelleted food, but, much to my surprise he likes it, and went to it first in his bowl of sunflower seeds. I will continue to buy this.

My caique loves these and they don't have the awful fruity smell so many pellet brands have so I do too!
