Awesome harness!
I have a 9yo 75lb pit/lab mix. She is strong as an ox. I have tried all sorts of training and "no pull" harnesses with no success. SHe doesn't "walk me", she is just stubborn and strong. First walk with this harness was like a different dog. Although she still kept the leash taught with no slack, I could feel her restrain herself when she started to try to pull harder. After about 20 minutes, I was getting slack in the leash. I sincerely wish I would have tried this harness years ago if it was even in existence back then. The only downside is that I wish the leash was just a little longer, but I believe there are options for that which I haven't looked into. 1000% recommend this harness. (PS- I realize the harness looks tight in the photo but it is just the way she is angled. There is the proper amount of space between the strap and her body)
works great but not comfortable
My dog is really easygoing and though shes comfortable with this harness she really doesn't like it. no padding at all and, even though it fits her perfectly and definitely keeps her from pulling (even on a regular leash) she's very uncomfortable wearing it and you can tell. I'll probably be looking for a more comfortable harness for her unfortunately.
Really Good
This harness is helping my dog learn to walk on a loose leash.I am not saying this item solved my dog's problems with yanking on the leash. I am using this alongside common training methods. The only downside is that it fits really awkward. I first bought the medium because it seemed to match up best with my dog's measurements. It was way too big. Then I exchanged for the small. The small fits pretty well, but the front straps still seem a little bit too loose, even all the way tightened. Maybe my dog is just shaped funny lol.
Highly Recommend
This harness has made a huge difference in walking my dog. I will no longer walk my dog on just his collar. With this harness he barely pulls when I walk him and it is just a more enjoyable walk for him and me! I even bought one for my daughters pup. The only thing I would change is making the length of the leash adjustable somehow.
Best harness for exuberant pup
We love these harnesses. We have four dogs, and the one for which this really makes a big difference is our 6-month old Newfoundland pup. The harness is wonderfully adaptable to different body shapes, and the velvet strap around the torso works perfectly. No slippage on velvet. It fits well, and stays well-fitted.
Disappointed
I bought two of these harness & leash combo sets one for each dog because it has a tag line saying "No Pull". However, my dog Stella pulled worse than she normally does. As I wrapped the leash around my hand and wrist the stiffness of the leash material hurt my hand and wrist bc she was pulling so much. My husband and I had to switch off walking her that day on our walk, it was just awful. The colors they offer are pretty but do not make up for the lack of it working.
Doesn't work
We have tried every no pull harness, and this one is just as useless as the others. The ONLY thing that works for our 100 lb lab rescue (who never learned to walk on a leash) is a gentle lead that goes over her muzzle. Disappointing.
Love this product!
I have two energetic and strong yellow labs. One is 8 years old and has always tugged on his leash despite trying different types of harnesses and resorting to using a prong collar. The other is a 6 month old puppy, still in training, learning loose-leash walking. I purchased these harnesses with leashes for both of them. Now, walks are much more pleasant. There are no prong or choke collars. They pull much less. If they do start to pull away from me, it is so much easier to correct them. I highly recommend!
Such a great harness!
I absolutely love this harness! He had a blue 1 before. My boy has gotten so many compliments on this teal color! It's super comfortable for him. It's great for his walks! It very adjustable. I thought he needed a bigger size and ordered the bigger one first. As always, Chewy was SUPER great and understanding. They refunded my money so I could get the size smaller and I donated the other one. Such a great thing they do!
Easily Escaped Harness
if you want to keep your dog next to you without the chance for escape I don't recommend this. both of my dogs can slip out of it easily eve with a tight fit.
