Great Food
Finding a high quality grain free dry food without terrible fillers and peas or other unneeded starches has been a challenge. No grains are allowed with an overgrowth of yeast / skin issues, and a diet change was needed to reverse. so choosing a clean kibble was essential. Acana's ingredients are good and our large dog loves it! She get 1/2 bowl of Acana and 1/2 bowl of Earthborn Lamb. Both winners.
Food looks good
When I received my package the bag of dog food had a hole in it. I hope nobody messed with the bag of dog food. Anyways I just dump the food into my container anyways didn’t see anything unusual. My dog loves this food anyways her Bm are always firm and she has a sensitive stomach. Down side she does seem to drink a lot more water so I might have to look for an alternative.
Dogs love the taste!
I am not a fan of changing dog food after 7 years, but with the help of a Chewy customer service rep I decided on this brand because of the high protein and simple ingredients. My dogs love it! The kibble is so tasty I can give it to them like a treat! I have found my new dog food for my very active GSDs!
Allergy Friendly Food- No Green Peas, White Potatoes, Poultry, or Grain
I struggled to find my super sensitive Shiba a good dry food and had tried so many I was about to give up when someone in a Shiba FB group recommended I try Acana. In the past, I had tried some foods with a fish protein and my Shiba would eat them only when she was absolutely famished but you could tell she hated it. She is always excited about this Lamb food! My girl has allergies/sensitivity to Poultry, Grains, Green Peas, White Potatoes and this was the only dry food I could find that was free of all these. Please don't ever change the formula because then I don't know what I'd feed her.
Change in color
Like others have observed, I opened a new bag of the Lamb and Apple, now owned by Champion, add the color of the food was much darker. I had a cup left of the last bag and it was noticeable. This would imply that there has been a formulation change. I expect more changes in the future, so I am already looking for a replacement. The price increase plus the bag size reduction is ridicules. I like the food and my dog has done well on it but if the formula changes can have an impact on my dog.

Great Limited Ingredient Food for my Pack
We have a multi-dog household and there is one that has sensitivities to other proteins. Finding a food that works for everyone is ideal and this food checks all the boxes for my dogs. I have tried other brands for variety but have always come back to this food. Sticking with a good thing!
Itching resolved
I have a pitty mix and she had the WORST skin issues! I mean terrible! Within 2 weeks on this food they were almost completely resolved. 3 mo later? Skin is completely healed and no itching!
I liked the food but I need the grains for my heart. So Mom will be purchasing the same food with grains.
