Acana fish oil is a blend of pollock or herring oil that helps ensure good levels of Vitamin D in our recipes. This flexibility is needed to accommodate the ingredient sourcing for the shifting fishing seasons. This reflects Acana's commitment to sourcing the world’s freshest and best ingredients. Fish oil does not contain fish protein, which is a concern for most pets with fish allergies. As fish oil is a fat and not a protein, it is unlikely to contribute to an allergic reaction. However, every pet is unique in this.
