The ONLY treat I can give my lab!

My 6 yr old lab is an intense power chewer. On top of that, she tends to swallow large pieces only to throw them up minutes later. For years I couldn't give her any chews or treats because of the risk she'd throw up after enjoying it. A friend suggested I try beef cheek rolls and these are such a game changer! It takes her 2+ hours to chew this down the end and the pieces that come off during that time are small enough not to cause her any tummy upsets. I usually take it away when she gets it down to the last 3 to 4 inches, freeze them, and give them to small puppy who takes a while to get through them.

No smell/grease but not as compelling as some

Wish my dog liked these cheek roll more since they're a great deal and pretty much odor free but they definitely don't hold her interest as much as other brands

Nothing slapping a little peanut butter around the inside won't fix but if your dog is more motivated by smells/taste than just plain chewing they might not make the cut.

I was looking for ways to occupy my two dogs while one recovers from ACL repair. I limited chew time to 30 minutes so my dogs wouldn’t ingest too much, since some reviewers claimed they caused diarrhea. The rolls stood up well to my voracious chewers the first night, with no ill effects. Three nights later I allowed my dogs another 30 minute chew session, and again the rolls held up well. I thought we had finally found a winner until early the next morning when one of my dogs experienced nasty diarrhea and the other had bloody stool. Into the garbage can went all 3 chews.

These are a nice economical busy chew when you need some time away from your high energy Velcro dog. They are a safer alternative to rawhides and last a reasonable length of time. My dogs a medium sized BC’s and one of these last about 3 months

These are amazing "bones" for our heavy chewer. Once he gets bored, I add a little peanut butter or small nibble treats inside.

Not what we wanted

I had previously ordered some water buffalo cheek rolls that my dog LOVED!! Apparently they were no longer available. We tried these as a replacement. Unfortunately

I had previously ordered some water buffalo cheek rolls that my dog LOVED!! Apparently they were no longer available. We tried these as a replacement. Unfortunately these were not lived, or even liked. First, 10” is way too big. I hadn’t realized that the ones from before were 6” and these are 10. Big difference. I remember thinking it wouldn’t matter because she only chews on them for a little bit at a time (an hour to 90 minutes) so the extra 4” won’t be a bad thing because we’ll just have them longer. Not the case. These 10” beef rolls are too big around and too thick in regard to the cheek itself. She had a hard time holding it both from width and length. Secondly, the cheek doesn’t seem to be as “chewable” if that makes sense. Probably not. They are just a bit stiffer, bigger, hard to handle. With all that being said, if you have a very large dog (mine is 85 lbs., heavy chewer) then these may work for your baby. I do love how these cheek rolls are long lasting for a heavy chewer!! The marrow bones are too many calories. Rawhide is out for several reasons. Love that the cheeks are high protein, less calories and last a long time even for a heavy chewer!! I did find some replacement water buffalo cheek rolls in a 5-7” length, they are on their way here so I’m hoping for the best!
