    DGP works on Elbow Dysplasia

    By on

I drop three of these and 3 Welactin Omega 3 on top of Marcel's morning meal. Once and a while I find one DGP stuck to the bottom of the bowl with saliva and I bury it in a large pill pocket to get him to gobble it or throw it on top of his evening meal where it is usually eaten. It might taste bad but it's good for him. I didn't like taking my medicine either when I was young. I rarely have to medicate him for pain with an NSAID. Three years post diagnosis, his limp is barely noticeable in his gait most days and he holds his own when chasing rabbits out of his yard. Not bad for an arthritic 6 yr old Golden mobility service dog who makes it to work everyday. We like this stuff. Thanks DGP

    Jackie says Thanks Chewy!

    By on

Jackie is reaching his twilight years. He is a Jack Russell Terrier and Chihuahua mix. Poor guy was hurting so bad he wanted to chase the ball but it hurt him too much. DGP really helped take away the pain that caused him to walk with a limp.

    Works for my Shih Tzu

    By on

My boy is 11 with an achy right front leg. A friend recommended. He readily eats the tabs like they are treats. I noticed him limping less in about 2 weeks. I don't think the one star rating is fair if your dog won't eat it, that's purely a dog thing, not a product thing.

    Not great tasting

    By on

My dog would not eat these. Even tried putting a little cheese with them, but she would eat the cheese and if I did not watch her, just spit it on the floor. She is not a picky eater, so I figure they must not be very palatable.

    Dog refuses to eat them.

Even if I put it in wet food or in a pill pocket, he picks them out and leaves them.

    SO glad it's still available!

I discovered this product a number of years ago, when it was still coming from Australia and contained an "undisclosed" herb. I tend toward holistic healing and away from standard western medicine offerings as much as possible. My canine companion at that time, a very athletic Yellow Lab, greatly benefited from DGP. Recently my current fur kid revisited an injury that she suffered two years ago. At that time the Vet put her right hind leg through range of motion and commented about a ligament or tendon being the issue. She gave me an anti-inflammatory that was needed for only three days before Miss Spunky Butt was back to her old self. This time, with four pills remaining from the original I discovered this product a number of years ago, when it was still coming from Australia and contained an "undisclosed" herb. This time, with four pills remaining from the original supply and not having reached their expiration date I gave them to her. Fortunately I remembered about DGP, investigated and found it still available, now being made by American BioSciences. The reviews were glowing, so I placed an order. I was SO grateful when the supplement arrived. It had been six long days of my girl moping around. The relief of her discomfort was immediate - within hours of her having the first pill. YAY! She soon was back to her "old self", being nine, now, running and bringing her favorite toy to play tug and chase and fetch. I'm going to keep her on the DGP since she still shows an occasional "hitch" in that right hind while we're walking. And, afterall, she is nine. She's an 18 pound Yorki-ShihTzu mix, so we'll hopefully have many more years together. My Lab was 14 1/2 when she made her transition. I believe that that was partly due to the DGP that helped her stay active. I have told 3 other people who have canine companions about the marvelous results I have seen. … more

    DGP vs Pain Meds.

    By on

I am using this product on my 2nd aging Siberian Husky. He is 12 years old and suffers from joint pain and arthritis. He is able to get up easier and is peppier while on the DGP product. It is a great pain reducer that is preferred over the prescription pain meds recommended by my vet with nasty side effects. Do the research, it is a great product.
