21 Customer Questions
How much grass are you supposed to allow your cat to eat? And how often are you supposed to feed it to them?
Answer by • Apr 29, 2024
The serving size should be adjusted according to the size of your pet. Consult your veterinarian for more information about the proper serving size.
Can the pet greens be planted outside
Answer by • Oct 06, 2022
We do not recommend planting the self-grow kit outside. Since Cat Grass is actually wheatgrass sprouts, it helps to think of it as produce and care for it in a similar way. The average lifespan of wheatgrass is about 2 to 3 weeks, depending on a variety of factors like the temperature, humidity, etc. The good news is there are things you can do to extend the life, like storing the pots in the refrigerator when your pet is napping or out on a play-date. Keeping it trimmed helps, too, and you can sprinkle the trimmed ends on your pets’ food. Transplanting to a larger pot will not extend its viability.
Will feeding this grass to my dog encourage or entice him to try and eat non-edible grass on our walks?
Answer by • Aug 04, 2018
If your pet doesn't already eat outdoor grass naturally, then this should not encourage them to. This pet grass is meant to be fed as a treat and added to food.
Pets that eat outdoor grass normally have an underlying reason, but this behavior can be helped by making your own edible grass readily available to them.
if you cut the grass will it last longer?
Answer by • Jan 12, 2021
The Pet Greens Garden is ready for your pets to enjoy when the grass reaches about 2 inches in height. It can grow up to 7 inches high, but should be trimmed at about 5 inches to keep it fresh and healthy.
