I wanted to like this wet food but my dogs don’t! I found it has guar gum, cassia gum and xantham gum. Oh, and salt. It’s hard to mash up and mix with their kibble.

Grain Free products not good for dogs

I just learned my dog developed a heart murmur and I have been buying grain free treats and food, unknowing that grain free dog food cause heart problems in dogs. I’ve been told by two different vets this information just this past month and that there are scientific articles about this. I wish this information was shared to me before now.

I have 9 angels, 4 of which are senior and take meds. I need a wet food of sufficient consistently (nonsoupy),as to accomplish this task without a lot of mess and drama. My dogs absolute LOVE this product. I will definitely order more.

I personally love the smell and consistency of this food. Unfortunately, my dog doesn't always feel that way so I have to add an additional goodie to the mix of his dry and canned dinners.

My dog tried this but didn’t seem to like the consistency. He spit out parts of it and seemed less eager to eat this compared to other brand. Had him try it three times… same thing each time. It doesn’t look very appetizing either.

Originally was looking for a good priced L.I.D. canned food and came across American Journey. Recently I tried to switch my dogs to another brand of canned food to save a few dollars (I have 2 huge dogs and a little one that eat a ton). Well needless to say that didn't work out so well, back to American Journey we came. I looked at their other canned varieties and came across this. Gave it a try and all the dogs love it AND their "output" is back to normal.

I appreciate the fact that there are no grains in the dog food and appreciate that it is probably the healthiest canned food that my dog has ever had. However, I believe that something could be done about the smell and flavor of the food. It has no or very little aroma, so it doesn't excite the appetites of my dogs. I am going to have to purchase some chicken and beef broth to give it more flavor and aroma. Thank you,
