Red flags

When I first bought this food I was a bit leery of it because I noticed chewy was very cagey about where they sourced their ingredients. I also noticed it recommends

When I first bought this food I was a bit leery of it because I noticed chewy was very cagey about where they sourced their ingredients. I also noticed it recommends 7 cups to feed a large breed puppy at 20lbs. I should have paid attention to these red flags. My puppy was constantly hungry on this food and got really skinny. We thought it was a growth spurt. I noticed she had really dark poo that was getting softer till one day it became scene from the exorcist. I rushed her to the vet thinking it was parvo. Nope, she had preanemia and was beginning to come down with an illness because there was blood in her stool. I finally realized it was the food switched her over cold turkey to a new food and saw an improvement instantly. She’s now packing on weight, getting full, and has regular stools. Definitely will never do another chewy brand name food again.

Unfortunately when we fully switched our puppy over to this food something didn’t agree with him. We can only feed this mixed with another food.
