Description

Keep your pet from removing his bandages or irritating his cuts, scrapes and bruises while they heal using the Andover Healthcare PetFlex Bitter No Chew Dog, Cat & Small Animal Bandage. It’s treated with a bitterant that’s safe for pets and people but is designed to leave an unpleasant taste in the mouth of pets. With a tensile strength of 15 pounds, this premium, self-adhering cohesive bandage is resistant to abrasion and shredding, even with active pets. It’s made using woven fabric base material, linear elastic yarns and high-quality latex cohesive. Linear elastic yarns deliver consistent compression without constricting, moving or falling off over time. With superior adhesion, this bandage is sweat and water-resistant, yet is still easy to remove and won’t stick to skin or fur. Convenient and easy to use, it can be hand-torn straight and clean, so you don’t need scissors. Like all Andover products, this bandage is made in the USA, and is available in both 2-inch and 4-inch widths.

She doesn't seem to mind the taste, the actual wrap stops her.

Our pit bull has an irritated area on her hind leg that she's licked so much it's raw and swollen, tried a cone, she can reach around it, tried ace bandages, she gets it off. I got this and Grannick's Bitter Spray. The material of this tape and how it sticks to itself is EXTREMLY helpful. It is hard to find the start to it but it IS there. It just sticks to itself REALLY WELL. Got the bitter spray a few days before the tape (as they come from seperate warehouses, one from east coast and one from west). The spray kind of helped but the tape was really hard for her to pick off. I don't know it it was the taste as much as the material. Probably both. I'm impressed with it, bought two more rolls. Works Great

No Chew Bandage is a lifesaver for us. Our 15yo Goldie is a licker of all bumps & lumps, and will lick to the bone if you don’t catch her, sweet old gal. I buy No Chew in bulk. It’s the only thing that keeps her from licking her wounds and really helps us manage her healing process. We keep No Chew on hand at all times with her being a licker. Highly recommend.

    Great product

I ordered this for my 7 month old pit/lab mix.. She has a small spot on her leg that needed protecting.. I tried tape from the store but she would pull until she had it off.. I put this on her and she only chewed at it once.. Its been on her leg for about 5 hours now, still looks good.. Had no problems with the product and will definitely order again if I need to..

    Works but did not last.

It sticks just fine but my dog still managed to tug it free despite it supposedly having an unappealing taste. I didn’t dislike the bandage but I was extremely happy with it either.

Didn't Stop Our Golden Retriever puppy

We bought this to keep our Golden Retriever puppy from chewing furniture legs. It didn't so her at all. She carried the roll around in her mouth.

Agree with other reviews. Can't find the beginning of roll. Also dog chews it right off.

    Bitter apple?

    By on

Do not recommend. This product is no better than your average vet wrap. My lab chewed it off quickly and easily.

    So far, so good

    By on

Our cats (none will admit who doing this!) chew cords. We've wrapped the cords and plugs with this tape. So far, no one's like the taste enough to chew it. It's absorbent so we can daub natural repellents on it or pin deterrents on to it. We'll tell more when we know how it works.

    Waste of time and money

This roll of bandages is useless. It has no starting place on the roll. It sounds ridiculous but I couldn't get any of the bandage off. I tried everything I could think of and then my husband tried and we never got any off.
