I bought these drops on a whim. I had never heard of this product and only purchased it because I was desperate. My dog has taken these drops regularly for 6 months,

I bought these drops on a whim. I had never heard of this product and only purchased it because I was desperate. My dog has taken these drops regularly for 6 months, about 3-4 days a week. I have seen a big improvement. My dog is 15 and has had a heart murmur for about 6 years. He was recently diagnosed with cancer and two specialist agreed that radiation was his best chance at survival. My dog has been under anesthesia about seven times in the past three months. For a dog his age that’s not safe, but when you add a heart murmur on top of this, it’s a miracle his heart was able to withstand it all. As soon as his last radiation session was done, I started giving him the drops. For about a month, I noticed that he was coughing a lot, but every month, his coughing decreased. He now only coughs 1-2 times a day and it is very light. I believe that these drops have helped manage my dogs condition. Because of these drops, my dog is able to enjoy the last few months he has peacefully comfortably. I am very thankful. I highly recommend this product to any person that has an animal with a heart murmur that is not fully managed by medication.

Not Good for My Dog

I had purchased this because the doctor suspected my dog has heart failure. He had bad reaction to his heart med so I have been looking for a supplement. Then I came across this. I read the reviews and got him one. I gave this oil to my dog 2 times. The first time I only gave him a drop. The next day I read the direction and gave him suggested amount. And that night my dog coughed like he was going to die. The cough continued until the next day in the afternoon and his eyes were all red with a layer of white film on his eyes. He looked like a blind dog. I washed his eyes with eye wash and gave him eye drops. The white film was gone but his eyes were all red and swelling for the next 2 days. I stopped this oil immediately and his cough was gone and his eyes are back to normal. I don't want to give this product to anyone in case the same thing happen to their baby. I didn't take a picture because his eyes looked so serious. I was in a rush to treat him. And I sure don't want him to go through this experience again just for picture taking. I do not recommend this product at all.

I’m so confused. The item says, good for both dogs & cats. My Baby girl has a cardiac issue & the hope was to provide supplements to help. This item has such great reviews, but then I noticed my cat puked & refused to eat (wet food- she’s usually a glutton for wet food). Seeing as how I would administer these drops in her food, at first I did not make the connection, until I noticed she threw up her breakfast. A few hours later, my other cat- hacked up, phlegm. Too much coincidence. I have discontinued. They both cleaned their plates after I discontinued this supplement & I will be monitoring closely for the next few days. Garlic is toxic to both cats & dogs, so I’m just not sure how or why this is being added to a supplement meant for them.

haven't noticed a difference

Not sure how to rate this yet. My dog has taken this for about two weeks now and so far he does not seem any better, I do know sometimes it takes a month to notice

12 yr-old with CHF

Tried on my 12 yr old Havanese with a congestive heart failure. She has been on pimobendan and furosemide for a year. Since giving her this product, noticed an improvement

Tried on my 12 yr old Havanese with a congestive heart failure. She has been on pimobendan and furosemide for a year. Since giving her this product, noticed an improvement with reduced coughing and collapsing or fainting and more energy. The direction says twice a day, but since increasing to 3 times a day, noticed a significant improvement. Squeeze the dropper through side of her mouth. She is still on her medications, but this has helped greatly and I highly recommend. Have not needed to increase her furosemide that I have had to do on occasion. So glad I found this product, and as a result, trying other products from Animal Essentials.

Easy to administer

Heart Health is easy to give to my little chihuahua who has two leaking heart valves and suffers from Cushing's Disease. I just add the drops to her food.

Good after 2 weeks

Have senior dog,11 pounds, undignosed but sure in heart failure had bad cough from liquid in lungs purple tongue, hard breathing, fatigue, . This over weeks, improved function, less rapid racing heart rate. I went slow, to prevent any GI but its proved perfect. i started out with low dose ( 6 drops) Now he takes 1/2 teaspoon twice daily. major improvement . herbs take much longer then conventional chemicals. he is not on pharma.

Excellent natural drops that really do the trick!

I wasn’t sure in the beginning if this will work for my little dogie that has a heart murmur and cough a lot. But through other reviews I decided to take a chance,

I wasn’t sure in the beginning if this will work for my little dogie that has a heart murmur and cough a lot. But through other reviews I decided to take a chance, since other products didn’t do it for me. She got it mixed with her food and stoped coughing and feeling way much better than before! Her energy level was increased and she seemed more happy and relaxed. I’ll definitely recommend this item very highly and continue to buy it for my Dixie as long as they’ll have it in stock! Thanks a lot Chewy for your great recommendation of this fantastic item!

Purchased hoping to help dog with enlarged heart problems. She started throwing up from it. Later I read garlic isn’t good for dogs and can cause nausea and vomiting. It could just be my dog is sensitive to the formula. If you try, I would only get the small bottle first to test it. I would like to know why they added the garlic.
