Annamaet Manitok has helped many dogs with ear, skin and coat issues as well as chronic digestive upsets. “Manitok” was named in reference to an unfortunate encounter between a moose and Rob Downey, President of Annamaet. This is the reason there is a moose on every bag and if you ever have the chance you should ask Rob to tell you the story. Manitok means "rugged" in the Inuit Eskimo language.

Feeding Instructions

Adult: The age and activity level of your dog will help you determine the amount of Annamaet Manitok to feed your dog.

Females: Gestation and lactation are one of the most nutritionally demanding stages of a normal adult dog's life. Food consumption should increase during gestation. Feed the necessary amount to maintain her proper body weight. During lactation, food intake may double or quadruple.

Puppies: Growing puppies should have approximately twice the amount of calories per pound of body weight as an adult dog. They should be fed all the moistened Annamaet Manitok they want at intervals throughout the day until they are about three months of age. They then can be fed moistened amounts three times daily and twice daily after six months of age.

It is a must that all dogs and puppies should have access to fresh, clean water at all times. Their feed and water containers should be washed daily. Please remember, that dogs are like humans, and different dogs have different appetites. The feeding chart below is approximate measures for average weights. The look, feel, and actions of your dog should help you determine the amount of feed they need.

A standard measuring cup holds 3.8 ounces of Annamaet Manitok.

  • not for my dog

    By on

I tried this dog food because it had great reviews. I'm sure it's a good quality food but did not work well for my dog at all. He did not want to eat it - after a day of him not eating I mixed a little canned food with it to get him to eat and he had really bad diarrhea. I've given him the canned food before so I know it wasn't that. Not sure why my dog reacted so bad with it.

  • 1 year old chocolate lab LOVES

    By on

Our chocolate lab Becky loves this food, even more than the Orijen we previously had her on. She’s been eating this for several months now and we plan to keep her on it. The lamb is great for her, no allergies. She eats all her food as soon as we set her bowl down. Shiny happy dog!

  • The Best Food for Dogs

    By on Top 1000 Contributor

This is an excellent quality food with high protein (for growth), low fiber (for small stools), high DHA (for brain development), high fat (for energy) and low moisture (for easy storage). My puppy absolutely loves it and is doing well on it. He is growing slowly (fast growth is very bad), he has very small stools, is learning things quicker than any dog I've ever seen, has a ton of energy and I can leave it in his bowl all day long.

  • Simply the best!

    By on

My German Shepherd Dog Lexi had severe skin allergies, she was itching and scratching all the time,, she had skin lesions on her belly. We tried apoquel, immuneotherapy injections all with little help. Thousands spent on Dermatoligist Veterinarian. This is Lexi's third bag and itching is 98% better and there are no skin lesions. Lexi also has one brick of Primal duck freeze dried raw. I am truly amazed! This is the best dog food on earth!

  • Great delivery service

Outstanding delivery process. Food recommended for the new puppy. He and my older dog love it. After all, the puppy should not get one over on the head dog.

  • Switched from one of the Champion dog foods

    By on

I'm very pleased that I found this food, and the Annamaet company. My dog seems to like the food as well as his previous food, perhaps even better. I will start a new Autoship soon.

  • Yet another good food

    By on

No surprise, this flavour went over well with my dog too. There hasn't been an Annamaet formula that my dog doesn't do good on or doesn't thoroughly enjoy.

  • Sergio Loves It !

    By on

I learned about this 5 star dog food from Sergio's foster Dad who lives in PA, where this small company operates. My little guy is already very spoiled, but he loves this stuff ! I changed him from a different formula of the same brand, to this grain-free Manitok red meat formula, which he prefers. The ingredients are first class, earning Annamaet the highest ratings from web advisors where dog foods are analyzed. Also nice that the bag opens and closes with a zip lock. slider.
