Optimum Levels of Omega-3

Annamaet formulas include marine microalgae, a stable and sustainable natural ingredient that is rich in omega-3 fatty acids. Their recipes are also fortified with DHA, a key omega-3 fatty acid that is important for canine brain health and skin and coat health.

Taurine content please?

The Taurine amount for the Small Breed Formula is .15%.

Any ingredients from China?

Answer by ChewyJul 02, 2019
Annamaet sources most of their high-quality ingredients within the United States depending on availability. Some of the vitamins are produced in Europe. Vitamin C is from England, Biotin from France, and L-carnitine from the Czech Republic as none of these are produced in the US. The salmon is from Alaska and the herring is Canadian.

What are the differences between this Small Breed kibble & Annamaet Ultra? Isn't the formula identical for these 2 varieties? What size are the kibble pieces (in 12/2019,a some folks say the size varied over the years) for both types?

Answer by ChewyDec 11, 2019
The Annamaet Original Small Breed Formula Dry Dog Food and Annamaet Ultra 32% Dry Dog Food are the same recipe. The difference is the small breed formula will have a smaller kibble. The Ultra recipe will have a kibble size of a large pea compared to the small breed recipe which would be about half that.

Small sized kibble

Perfect sized kibble for my little fur baby. Only complaint is that it smells similar to fish food lol

Annamaet was recommended in a group I follow. After researching I was impressed with the company. Especially how long they’ve been in business and their track record. I liked the ingredients and decided to try it. Right away I stared to see a lot less scratching and a changes in their digestive issues. They are both excited about mealtime also.

Made the decision to put our new small breed puppies on this food after reading up on the brand and their manufacturing process. It’s one of the few brands that doesn’t outsource production, and they’ve had no recalls to date. I also feel better giving it to them since Annamaet has a veterinary nutritionist on staff. The price isn’t crazy for the quality, either, and the pups seem to enjoy it.

Fed this high quality (and expensive) food to our little guy for many years. Recently the groomer suggested that Brewers Yeast can be problematic for some dogs and could be the cause of his itching and constantly and irritatingly pushing his food around. Switched to Zignature Turkey with similar nutritional profile but with NO brewers yeast. OMGoodness! Immediately better and eats his food without pushing it around. Such an improvement.
