Key Benefits- Complete and balanced diet for all algae-eating fish including Plecostomus, Ancistrus and Otociclus.
- Produces up to 30% less ammonia than competitors. Comes in sinking form.
- Contains rich blend of algae and omega-3 fatty acids plus alfalfa, a good source of fiber.
- Yeast, garlic, vitamins C and E help support the immune system.
- Highly digestible recipe helps reduce waste for cleaner, clearer water.
Overfeeding, low palatability, and low quality lead to unconsumed or poorly digested food, which raises the ammonia level in the aquarium, causing cloudy water and even fish death.
Do not overfeed. To accommodate the slower feeding habits of most algae eaters, feed the amount of food your fish will consume within 2 hours.

Wonderful always buy
By Torbell on Nov 4, 2020
I have 4 aquariums and my algae eaters range from an inch to 14 inches long and I don’t have much algae grow ever so I use this just adding 3 of these every few days keeps my fellas happy! You want to put them in at night time when these guys like to be active or the other fishes eat them up before my big guys get to them!

Sometimes they float
By ciji on Oct 8, 2020
Bought these for my Pleco, some of the time the wafers sink lik they are supposed to, other times they float. If they would all sink then I would be happy with it, however when they float the Pleco doesnt eat it and the algae has to be fished out of the water with a net.

I'm unable to rate this product, API Algae Eater food for bottom feeders as Zeus, our plecostomus, for whom the food is intended, has never communicated to us his opinion of the food.

Algae eater food
By None on Nov 20, 2019
If my fish are happy with the food I give them then I'm happy. They always wait for me to drop the pellets. Even my corys and loaches will eat the pellets along with their own food. Love Chewy! So glad I found them. Such reasonable prices and customer service is great! Thanks Chewy!
