Questions & Answers

4 Customer Questions

I need it to be a smaller size, can I cut it open and put a small amount into an empty media filter bag?
Answer by Chewy • Jan 12, 2019
The loose contents may be placed in a smaller containment bag or pouch.

OK you said I could use this loose, but how much should I use in a 10 gallon tank?
Answer by Chewy • Jan 13, 2019
While the contents of this pouch can be placed in a smaller bag, the contents of this filtration pouch should not be used loosely. Rinse pouch under tap water for several minutes to remove dust and activate the PHOS-ZORB. The activation process will temporarily generate some heat. Place pouch in path of water flow in the aquarium filter. Replace pouch every 2 months or when testing indicates the presence of phosphate or silicate.

Do you carry this in a smaller size? 5x5 is about twice the size I need.
Answer by Chewy • Oct 06, 2018
At the moment, the API Phos-Zorb Aquarium Canister Filter Filtration Pouch is only available in one size.

What are the dimensions of the packet, in inches?
Answer by Chewy • Sep 13, 2018
The pouch measures approximately 5 x 5 inches.

Unused product

I didn’t have to use Phosguard because the phosphate testing was normal.

Didnt Work For Me

Unfortunately this product did not seem to work for me. I couldnt tell that my phosphates were lowered at all. I really had high hopes for it.

API Phos-Zorb works

Great product; very convenient to use and gets rid of phosphate. Can even be left in place until the phosphate level starts to climb again.
