Is this safe around dogs if they accidentally drink water from

At this time, this remedy is not intended for the consumption of humans or pets.

Since Pimafix is to treat fungal AND bacteria infections, am I correct in assuming Melafix should not be nessarry? Or is there benefits to using both products together?

Answer by ChewyJul 09, 2019
You can use just the API Pimafix to treat the fungal and bacterial infections. If the bacteria and fungal infections persists this combination is in fact recommended in treating the stubborn infections. Use each medication at the recommended dose. There is no need to reduce the dose when using both of them.

What is the dosage for ponds?

Answer by ChewyApr 12, 2018
You should add 5ml of API Pimafix per 10 U.S. gallons of water.

Bought new fish and added them to my guppy tank. Two days later one of the new ones started turning white? Like half her body turned white n then she died then the next day my female I had for a while that was in the tank w the new fish started turning white and died rather quickly and then it got one of my male guppies while I was waiting for this to be delivered. I’m currently treating both tanks just incase and haven’t lost anymore fish so I suppose it’s working.

My betta started getting these suspicious red spots on his fins, so I got some Pimafix and dosed his tank. Within 12 hours my mystery snail was lethargic and clinging to the surface of the water for air and eventually fell to the bottom and didn’t move at all (it says it’s invertebrate safe but after that, I wouldn’t say so). So into quarantine he went. Then my betta stopped eating and became lethargic. His fins healed up within 48 hours, no more spots, but now he won’t eat and after another 48 in a quarantine tank with fresh water, he’s finally starting to move around more, but still refuses to eat. I’m very worried and regret using the Pimafix. I’m sure it worked fine for other people and fish, but not for us.

I followed the directions on the bottle. States it treats and prevents fish from getting infected. Well a total of nine fish died! The infection went from one fish to another. One weird thing is that the three fish I had started with was the only ones that made it, plus two fry. Feel it was a waste of money buying the two treatments I did. I am nervous to try the other medication and lose the rest.
