About Apoquel Tablets for Dogs

Relief for Your Itchy Dog

For dogs with allergic itch, relief can’t come soon enough. Apoquel (oclacitinib tablet) provides fast, safe relief from itching—so you and your dog can get back to doing what you love.

Fast Acting

If your dog is scratching, licking or chewing like crazy, you want to provide relief that starts acting quickly. Apoquel starts relieving allergic dog itch within 4 hours and helps control itch within 24 hrs.

Targets Itch at the Source

Apoquel goes right to the source of allergic itch, to help stop itching and relieve associated inflammation in affected canines.

9 Million Dogs and Counting

You can have peace of mind knowing that your dog is in good company—9 million dogs (and counting) have already had their allergic itch treated with Apoquel. Your dog could be next!

Do not use Apoquel in dogs less than 12 months of age or those with serious infections. Apoquel may increase the chances of developing serious infections, and may cause existing parasitic skin infestations or pre-existing cancers to get worse. Consider the risks and benefits of treatment in dogs with a history of recurrence of these conditions. New neoplastic conditions (benign and malignant) were observed in clinical studies and post-approval. Apoquel has not been tested in dogs receiving some medications including some commonly used to treat skin conditions such as corticosteroids and cyclosporines. Do not use in breeding, pregnant, or lactating dogs. Most common side effects are vomiting and diarrhea. Apoquel has been used safely with many common medications including parasiticides, antibiotics and vaccines. See full Prescribing Information.

Great Product

Apoquel is a godsend for my dog. He began itching terribly within a couple weeks of an increased, high dose of his Trilostane for Cushings disease. The itching was so bad he would yelp, while trying to scratch. I contacted his vet, who put him on Apoquel, 5.4mg once a day. He said it could be increased to twice a day if necessary. One dose helped him for about 12 hours but then he began itching again. So, I gave him 1 pill in the morning and a second pill 12 hours later. It works like a charm. No more itching! I wouldn't be without this medication.

Great prices

Chewy has the best prices and best customer service for their pharmacy. My Frenchie has to take this medication daily. I have shopped around looking for the best price because there isn’t a generic brand and this is pricey. Hands down Chewy’s prices were the best. They contact your vet and upon approval the meds are shipped to your door. So easy! No extra trip to the vet every time you need a refill. Chewy does it all.

Good for My Ace

My 70 lb fur baby has been struggling with a severe case of environmental allergies since he was born. No matter how much cleaning I do, wash his laundry in free & clear detergent, use pet safe floor cleaners or anything else I do to make sure he doesn’t have a reaction on top of such a severe reaction to what seems to be to just air at this point lol, he just itches in ways that make me want to help him scratch. I am sorry for the reviewer who had a bad experience but my dog has been on apoquel for 2.5 years now and has never had any side effects to it. His energy levels actually come back because he is no longer busy tearing his skin apart and welp everything is simply back to normal. I would have given it 5 stars but for some reason so many people have a hard time believing when they see all 5 star reviews so I am only giving it a 5 to let you all know I am a real reviewer lol but my experience is a 5 star rating. Without apoquel, my dog has no chance at a normal life and that thought breaks my heart. I wish it were a little less for the 16mg cause while it seems pretty cheap to those that do not use it daily like my pup, I promise it is pricey when you live on fixed income and are spending close to $200 monthly on just the apoquel part of his needs meds :( But outside of that, Ace and Mama bear here, are very happy.

Works great

My Frenchie Chloe has a variety of allergies caused by be mistreated before I was able to rescue her. This medicine helps her be completely itch free with no side effects and able to enjoy her life without constantly itching. It's expensive but fully worth it to see her comfortable.

Apoquel For Allergies

Both of our girls are taking Apoquel, but different milligrams. Chewy's price is more to my liking than buying from my vet which is more expensive. My girls are recent rescues from the south and have allergies, hopefully these will clear after they get use to their new environment.

Itchy baby!

This is a really good product . My 92 lab/pit bull mix has really bad seasonal allergies . The vet recommended this and creed has been taking it for a week and he hasn’t even scratched ! He usually has a lot of dandruff and that is even going away . This is a great product , i would recommend this over any other medicine

Works great

One of our dogs has allergies so badly that she chews herself raw. Antihistamines don't work and prednisone has bad side effects. She's been taking Apoquel for about a month and she is not chewing on herself, scratching or loosing hair. It is working well so far.

Apoquel anti itch allergy pills

These are very expensive, and have high risk of side effects. They don’t work that well, so I’m not sure if the risks of side effects is worth the benefit. I’m still adjusting dose to decide if I’ll continue or not.
