Dogs with skin conditions and food sensitivities love treats just as much as any other dog, and that’s why there’s Hill's Prescription Diet Hypo-Treats Dog Treats. The nutritionists and veterinarians at Hill's developed these tasty, crunchy biscuits especially for dogs enjoying a z/d, d/d, i/d or Derm Defense prescription diet. The hydrolyzed chicken liver protein helps alleviate adverse reactions to food, while omega-3 and 6 fatty acids, including EPA, help nourish the skin and coat. Added vitamins, minerals and antioxidants help further support healthy skin barrier function.

My dog has IMHA which has caused her to also have a ton of food allergies and intolerances. Her internal med specialist suggested we get these for her treats since any types of proteins have made her sick. She actually loves these and has had no issues. My issue is, these are not always made the same. We have had good ones that are light and crunchy which I can break up for her but sometimes we get bags of them that are rock hard and do not crumble at all. She can not even chewy the small pieces I break off from them. For $12+ a bag plus needing a prescription and having to wait on the delivery, its a waste when we get a bag of "rocks" that have to be tossed :(
I should have read the reviews. My dog has a very strict hydrolyzed protein diet and Royal Canin is the only brand that is true to that need. I was so excited to get these treats for my pup but he broke out very quickly from these. They are also ROCK hard. Back to no treats for our sensitive babies. Maybe one day.
I have 2 Pomsky’s and one is on a very strict hydrolyzed protein diet. It took myself and the Vets over a year to find the right diet for her. Snacks are hard to come by and she was enjoying Purina Gentle Snackers until someone at Purina decided dogs on a special diet didn’t need snacks. I’m trying the Hills hydrolyzed protein snacks but I’m super nervous after seeing her be very sick too many times. I break them up and yes they are very crunchy and give her a little piece to see how she’ll react to them. It’s only been a week trying these and giving her a few small pieces but so far so good. Fingers crossed!
Glad to find this product at Chewy, so with my vet’s prescription, I could keep my dogs on the medicine I know works well for them. I also received the order in a very timely manner.
My yorkie is picky about her snacks and she’s also allergic to chicken, which narrows the availability of snacks I can give her. She absolutely loves these! I just recently found out they even existed.
Gsd had serious GI issue. Didn’t think she’d mk it. Vet rx this brand of food and later allowed this treat and she loves it and her tummy is non reactive. Ty !!!
Our Miniature Schnauzer loves these treats. After his evening meal, all I have to say is "After Dinner Mint" and he comes running to get his Hypo Treat cookie. Nice to have a treat that actually lasts for more than a few seconds.
This was our go to treat for our dog with stomach issues however for some reason she has gotten sick from our recent order. I contacted customer service and they were extremely concerned and helpful regarding this matter.
Finally, Cooper has a treat he can eat because of his prescription diet. I wish companies made more flavors and more treats for dogs that have to have hydrolyzed protein.
Purchased these dog treats on the advice of my Vet. Dog just loved them. Eats them up in no time.
