My rescue dog has a bowel disorder with chronic loose stools and cannot eat certain proteins like chicken or beef. Finally saw an Internist and she recommend this food wet or dry, and Nothing else for 2 weeks. It was like a dream come true .. his very next stool after eating this food was solid and completely normal. After years and years of different foods, blood tests, ultrasounds and all he needed was the "right food" for his specific issue. For treats I give him only Kangaroo products, like jerky .. it's low-fat and a fantastic alternative to chicken or beef. Which you can buy on Chewy too.

Amazing Results!!!!

This food has been a literal god send for my Rottie boy! He has been struggling with large and small bowel IBD thinking maybe from fat intolerance and a food intolerance

This food has been a literal god send for my Rottie boy! He has been struggling with large and small bowel IBD thinking maybe from fat intolerance and a food intolerance. Flare after flare, food after food and nothing was working. We got to the point where he lost 13 pounds abruptly and also found out he was severely b12 deficient. The internal medicine vet recommended this food and literally a total 180 within a week. Aside from B12 injection, he is strictly managed by food. This is a miracle! It’s total trial and error to see what will work for your pet and thankfully this did the trick! We are combining wet and dry version of the food.

I had received an auto delivery of another kind of prescription wet food. Two days later,, the veterinarian specialist recommended to change his diet to the hydrolyzed protein low fat. I called Chewy to see if I could return the order that I received and order the new Hills z/d hydrolyzed protein low fat. They took care of it and credited for the return. I had the new order within 2 days.

Prescription food approval

2nd time in a row that approval from my Vet Clinic was required. They had provided it for 1 year 2 weeks earlier. Delayed delivery, frustrated vet clinic.

Dented Cans

I don't normally leave reviews, but all 12 cans arrived dented. Some were pretty severe. Not sure what happened with this order, but this is an expensive prescription

I don't normally leave reviews, but all 12 cans arrived dented. Some were pretty severe. Not sure what happened with this order, but this is an expensive prescription diet and the dents make me worry for the safety of the food since this is what allows bacteria to enter and contaminate.

I thought it was a little dry

My pet liked it and then started getting fussy because she doesn’t care for the food chunks really have to cut it up but that food is good for her.
