Finding a good filtration system for my 20 gallon tank has always been hit or miss. Around 2023, I purchased a Fluval system which uses this type of sponge, a carbon filter and a biological filter. The system works wonders on straining out impurities and I couldn't be happier.

Combined with the other components it removes debris and harmful chemicals in the water. Remember, the fish tank is an entire ecosystem.

If you need it for your aquarium, they work. That’s about it. They’re hard to find in the stores now because it’s from an old version of a water cleaner.
