Disappointing

I bought this in hopes it would help with odor after 2 weeks but it's really no different than the regular slide. It also clumps very badly and becomes this sludy mess and sticks to both the litter box and the scoop. It doesn't slide at all. I only got the purple box because it smells less strong than the green box and it's very low dust. I don't know if they changed the formula or what but at least for the dust factor I will keep buying it, but I will stick to the non-platinum version because it's exactly the same but is a lot cheaper.

Won’t switch to this litter

Pros: Unscented, fine grains, reduced sticking particularly if you wait several minutes, minimal tracking. Cons: Truly unpleasant, petroleum-like odor that becomes more intense and obnoxious after a week - even with scooping multiple times a day. Heavy. Two of my five cats wouldn’t use it.

It works what it said and it's unscented!

It clumps up fast and easy to scoop, slides out without leaving anything (just some dust) at the bottom of the litter box. I adopted Tyler about 8 months now, I had tried many brands, clump and non clump. Recently, I use platinum slide and my search is over. I ordered the 18 lbs because it states 14 days odor-free while the other states 7 days. Besides, I can't lift the 37 lbs box! Highly recommended if you live in a home where it's hard to wash the litter box indoor. Since there's only a few dust remained at the bottom after you slide out the litter, I just use clorox wipes to clean it up. It's texture is very fine, it's unscented and best of all my cat love it!

Works in the Robot!

I went through a lot of different kinds of litter in my robots before I found one that I like. I have 14 cats so it was important that every one of them liked it and continued to use it, and they did! I also have two cats with asthma that aren’t bothered by the dust. I also have a cat that wonders why there’s litter in his spaceship bed…..

Nothing Better!

So glad this product FINALLY came out so I can stop needing a backhoe to clean the litter box. Both cats use it with no issues. Odors are under control too! Nothing better for our household!

Something Has Changed - No Longer Clumps Well

This litter used to be great, but something has changed over the last year. It no longer clumps well. Urine spreads out in wide puddles that become a sticky muddy mess. It sticks to the scooper, litter box, and my cat as well. The mud will stick to my cat's paws and smear all over the house and furniture. It's really gross. I also notice that the clumps don't dry out. At the end of the day, clumps from the morning will still be soft and crumbly so they fall apart when scooping. I honestly think Chewy should stop selling this litter until Arm & Hammer fixes whatever the issue is. Aside from the clumping issues the odor control also seems to be worse these days. The litter itself has a strong smell and does not do much to control cat odor. The only good thing about this litter is that it is dust free. I would rather have dust than sticky urine mud smeared all over my furniture.

This really makes cleaning go faster

I was surprised by this one. My pet sitter asked if I had tried it. I usually use Dr Elsie for my four cats. This litter is easy to sift and does not stick to the litter box. I use 2 inches of Slide on the bottom and an inch or two of Dr Elsie on the top. Slide has a slight odor and covering it makes it more acceptable. I also was not sure about the long term safety of the ingredients and chose to reduce contact. The cats took to the layered litter immediately. Much easier scooping. I topped off with Dr Elsie until I needed more slip. Great product.
