This is the best litter of this type! I have cats who prefer this clumping litter, and some who prefer the crystals litter, so I keep boxes for both kinds. For the price, this one is the best of all clumping litters. It costs a little bit more than competitors, but it lasts longer, and is easier to scoop (it doesn’t cement to the bottom of the box), it doesn’t stink like cat pee either. It is the best deal, for the amount of work involved in maintaining it. In fact, I had a plumber over here last week who had to come inside. He was shocked when I told him I had 6 cats. He said “this is the cleanest cat house I’ve ever been in! There is no smell of cat pee, like AT ALL!!” He looked like a feather could knock him over, he was so surprised. Of course that made me happy! I recommend this litter above any other if your cat likes the clumping litter!
I don’t think any litter is perfect, but this stuff comes close. I have 4 cats, and I just lost one (21 year old senior), and now I have a kitten - 4 months old, 2 teenagers- 2 1/2 year littermates, and an adult 11 year old, and they all have different litter habits and preferences. I needed something that was soft and fine for the senior and kitten, and had strong odor control, and low dust, and something that could hold up to the teenagers and adult cat digger. I came up with my own combination for everyone’s needs. Line all 8 of the litter boxes with Arm and Hammer Slide, because it doesn’t stick to the bottom of the litter pans, easy clean up, then I do a layer of Arm and Hammer Clump and Seal (because of the soft sand texture for the old cat and kitten, and we know that old cats, and kittens have some of most stinky poo), and the low dust formulas helps with kitten sneezing. Sometimes I will do a layer of Scoop Away in between the layers also. Yes it gets pricey, but I like a good quality litter, and I scoop and clean often. My babies sleep in bed with me, so I like clean paws and low tracking. Highly recommend for cats, kittens and seniors.
This particular formula is good on dust. I clean my cat box 1 or 2 times a day. I scoop out the excrement/urine globs & add more litter as directed to 3"-4". I change the litter ever 4-5 days.. THIS LITTLE DOES NOT "SLIDE" out as it claims. I always have globs of urine that stick badly to the bottom & sides of the cat box. Kinda defeats it's purpose. I only give it a 3 star b/c cleaning the box from the urine clumps sticking is a pain
Unlike the Tidy Cat Lightweight litter, that claims to be 99.9% dusty, the Arm & Hammer really is dust free. But unlike the Tidy Cat Lightweight stuff, this stuff really is heavy. It does seem to go far, though. Other than the weight, we like that this stuff is dust free.
This is by far the best clumping litter. Now that our cats are no longer kittens and want to eat litter-this is what we like and they actually like it, too. They also scatter it less than the wheat litter.
Best litter on the market for odor control and ease of daily clean up. Chewy wraps the box in plastic prior to shipping to prevent the box from leaking litter or worse breaking open during shipping.
No tracking, no heavy lumps stuck to the litter box…I no longer have to vacuum around the box every day; no litter tracked to my bed; no heavy digging to clear any used litter. This stuff is a game changer.
Great odor control. I cannot speak to the "10 day" claim as I clean litter boxes twice a day. I have multiple cats and there is absolutely no odor. It is not however unscented as advertised. There is a slight almost fruity scent to the litter.
I was getting fed up with all the dust and smell from the other litter I was using, so thought I'd give this one a try. Definitely not disappointed. It really does slide right out, and is dust free. I just wish it wasn't so expensive, but I think I'll bite the bullet and pay the extra cost for this litter because I like it so much.
This is may favorite cat litter I have used. Its easy to clean out of the litter box and its the least stinky. I have one cat and it stays good (with regular cleaning) for about 2 weeks.
