We give this, off-label, to one of our cats who chews at her skin. She takes it, along with an antihistamine every day, twice a week and her skin and fur are perfect. She also has asthma, and our vet said that Atopica can help with that as well, so double bonus. Good stuff. We do hope to be able to reduce to once a week, as staying on an immunosuppressant indefinitely doesn't seem like the best idea, but for now, we are thrilled that Lois is happy, comfortable, and symptom-free.

Because you’re out of the correct dosage, which is 50 mg for my dogs weight I have to order 25 mg. I’m spending more and before the 50 lasted 7 days. The lesser dosage only last 4 because I have to give him 4 a day instead of 2. You’ve been out of them for weeks now. Had to have vet write new script and I’m assuming when you do get correct doseage I’ll need another new script.

I am so upset because my dog has IMHA and having to pay $43 PER BOX for 10mg, 15 count. Just found out my vet sells 60, 10mg tabs for $65 total. Obviously she needs her medications or she’ll die but with her being on 6 different meds for the foreseeable future, I will be cancelling my chewy auto ships and going elsewhere so I can save $125 each month. Very disappointing that I get charged that much money. In this economy it’s too hard to afford chewys prices.

My poor chihuahua mix has strong allergies to dust, dust mites, and cat dander, plus a few other things. But it took years of trial and error with different medications (pills and shots), foods, and shampoos, before he scratched away most of his hair and I finally took him to an expensive skin specialist. They put him on Atopica (I'm not sure why the normal vet didn't prescribe it) and my poor pup was like a NEW DOG within weeks! It took a few weeks for his scabs to go away and his hair to grow back, but he stopped being itchy and stopped scratching and was just such a happy boy. He's still on it, and will most likely be on it for all his life--that hurts because this stuff is NOT cheap! But it works! So, if you've tried everything else and it hasn't worked, I do recommend asking about Atopica.

I bought these pills on a whim because my cat really hates the taste of the Atopica liquid and if it touches her tongue she'll end up foaming at the mouth and very upset. It's much easier to administer the gel cap pills!! I just dip it in room-temp butter and can get her to swallow it fairly easily. It might be _slightly_ less effective than the liquid, but we're going to try switching to every-other day from a M-W-F schedule and see if that balances back out.

Finally some relief for my pup

Gabriella has been fighting a skin issue since the beginning of October. After 3 weeks on this she is a new dog. I am so pleased. We finally won the battle.
