Does this throw change textures after it has been washed?

For easy cleaning and maintenance, this shag blanket is machine washable and dryer safe. Machine wash cold and tumble dry low. To avoid matting of the fur, it is important that the blanket is thoroughly dried in the dryer after washing – do not air dry.

Will this still get matted if you only wash it and not put it in the dryer?

Is this waterproof? Have an older girl that sometimes has little accidents.

I have a $400 desk chair that I never sit in because my cat Minnewawa loves to snooze in it so much. I did cover it with a towel to preserve it in case one day I ever do get to sit on it. The towel was not very aesthetic and slipped off. This blanket is the perfect size and look to cover the chair and enhance the $400 experience for my kitty. It's surprisingly silky to the touch, very soft and flexible, drapes over the chair nicely and more importantly, it's to Minnewawa's likeing.

Soft and calming

We adopted Piper almost a year ago. He is a very sweet little guy but sometimes, especially at night, gets anxious and whines. We adopted him from his previous owners

We adopted Piper almost a year ago. He is a very sweet little guy but sometimes, especially at night, gets anxious and whines. We adopted him from his previous owners when he was 11 years old. We worked with our vet but nothing really helped until we went on vacation recently. The house we rented had a faux rug very similar to the Shari throw and Piper fell in love with it so we knew we had to find one of his own. We found exactly what we were looking for at Chewy. His "nest" is his favorite place now, especially at night. Thank you very much! We love it and so does Piper.

Super soft

It is so soft!! I'm sure it would be great for cute and cuddly dogs. Brownie, on the other hand, only touches it to drag it put of his house everytime we put it

Exactly what I needed

I am fostering kittens who were maybe weaned too young. They ALL suckle, and I needed something to redirect their suckling onto that wasn't my face or each other. I

I am fostering kittens who were maybe weaned too young. They ALL suckle, and I needed something to redirect their suckling onto that wasn't my face or each other. I obviously washed it before giving it to three three month old kittens, and it held up wonderfully in the wash and the dryer (on low heat) with no lint shedding. It was an immediate hit with the kittens and has been well suckled with no signs of ingestion or the faux fur falling out. Rewashing, again with a low heat setting on the dryer, has shown very little lint in the dryer vent. This blanket also air dried very well and quickly when I put it into a mixed load and set it on the line because I didn't want to throw it in the dryer on high heat. Smaller than I expected only because I skimmed the description, but more than large enough for the three kittens and it makes a decent lap blanket.

He LOVES this Throw!

Taisho is a heavy chewer. He ripped up more beds and blankets than I can count. This is the first time he hasn't chewed up a blanket! We couldn't leave him overnight

Taisho is a heavy chewer. He ripped up more beds and blankets than I can count. This is the first time he hasn't chewed up a blanket! We couldn't leave him overnight in his crate with a soft throw for fear of him swallowing the bits he chewed. He doesn't chew this one at all & he's had it for months! Not one hole! And he loves cuddling into it at night. Finally found one & it only took us 12 yrs!

They look and feel cozy

Unfortunately neither my dog or cat has laid on them. Maybe it's too hot right now and they'll like them better when the weather gets cooler. My cat peed on hers
