Feeding Instructions

We recommend feeding Bil-Jac Small Breed Senior on a scheduled and controlled basis. Most adult dogs may be fed once daily. However, twice a day feeding may be preferable based on specific needs. Use the feeding chart as a starting point. The proper amount to feed will vary according to the age, environment and activity of your dog. Make feeding adjustments to maintain proper weight and condition. Fresh water should be kept available at all times. For your pets health, see your veterinarian regularly. Store this bag in a cool, dry place.

Bil-Jac looks so different because it is so different—and your dog will feel it, too.

The Bil-Jac Difference

Small Batches, Cooked Slowly and Gently

Bil-Jac builds their recipes on high-quality, fresh ingredients – like the 25 pounds of fresh chicken they use to make a 30 pound bag of Bil-Jac Adult Select. Their unique Nutri-Lock cooking method is like no other and allows them to use so much more fresh chicken, without using high-temperatures and high pressure. Instead they craft meals like you would in your own kitchen, for outstanding nutrition and mouth-watering taste.

From the Bowl to the Yard

Not only will your dog's taste buds thank you, but so will his tummy—and so will your lawn. When you feed your pet a quality, nutrient-rich meal, his digestive system will thrive just the way it should. And, when your dog's stomach is happy, so are you.

About Bil-Jac

After returning home from serving in World War II, brothers Bill and Jack Kelly began their mission to create a better pet food in 1947. They developed a completely new way to take large amounts of fresh chicken, cook it slowly, and then vacuum dry it to remove the moisture while keeping its powerful nutritional value. Today, they continue their commitment to nutrition with their ever-growing assortment of foods and treats.

    Great stuff

By Diva on Mar 5, 2021

We’ve got a pair of older dogs and one is a picky eater. She is a 10 year old mini-daschund and she doesn’t like very many brands of dry dog food. This BilJac Picky no more is one she really likes and to boot it’s recipe is designed for older dogs. Well worth it and I recommend this to any older yet picky eater

    Cat's Meow

By Virginia on Feb 6, 2021

Our dogs think BilJac food is the cat's meow! They like its taste, its texture and its smell. This is the first bag we have bought of the "senior" variety. They have eaten the regular before and loved it, but, because they are almost eleven years old and one has teeth that are a little iffy, we decided that we would try it. If anything, it seems to work better for them. We will definitely buy it again. Our dogs are Yorkie-Poos, so we always buy small breed food.

    Dogs love the taste.

By AnnE on Jan 10, 2021

I’ve used this brand for many years. Small breed dogs like the shape more than round kibble. I’ve had many dogs (some rescued foster dogs), and this food has been a consistent favorite. Excellent for picky eaters.

    T0lerates it well

By Molly on Nov 2, 2020

I have an older poodle, Molly. She was on a very high protein food and has developed pre-diabetes. The vet recommended a change, so based on the reviews I chose Bil Jac. She really like it and has improved already after 3 weeks. It is very easy for her to chew also. I have been adding some green beans and broccoli on top for a bit of variety. She loves it.

    Fussy Chihuahua

By MEmj on Nov 27, 2020

She's not so crazy about it, but will eat it when she's hungry. This is the first packet we've had, and she does eat more because the kibble pieces are easier for her to manage and chew.

    eager to eat again

By dolly on Jul 10, 2020

I switched my little old dog over to bil-jac dry dog food because it's so much easier for her to eat and I don't have to wet or soften it like I did with her old dog food. I buy both the 'small breed senior' and 'small breed adult. she does fine with either one. no itchies, no stomach issues, and no more mushy poos.

    My dog’s favorite

By Jorji on Jun 11, 2020

We have a senior, diabetic dog and she loves her Bil Jac and it can be hard to find around here. The food arrived in tact and Bil Jac is fairly fragile and many times I have to sift the dust from it, so Chewy did a great job in handling.
