The manufacturer has stated the following about this product – “The Explorer Super Performance Formula 32/21 is not formulated to contain the crystalline amino acid DL-Methionine. Given the high levels of amino acids contributed from animal proteins (i.e. Chicken, Chicken meal, etc.), there is sufficient endogenous methionine (and cysteine) that additional supplementation is not warranted. As would be expected the levels of Methionine and Cysteine are formulated at higher than Maintenance dogs foods levels (and AAFCO requirements) to support the higher needs of a sporting dogs. This would ensure that all of the various metabolic pathways requiring these two sulfur containing amino acids are not limited.”

This dogfood gave both my Corgis (who are not genetically related) diabetes. I called our breeder in Lancaster, Pennsylvania to see if any of her other dogs had diabetes. She contacted full blooded siblings for both of our dogs and none of them have diabetes. This was purely environmental. My poor babies constantly had diarrhea and gas, and I thought it was just a Corgi thing. Ever since they’re diagnosis and switching their dog food, we haven’t had any of those issues. Sadly, it’s too late for our dogs. Please protect yours.

No wheat??

We are not sure if our dog has a wheat allergy but this food didn’t add to it. It only comes in the 40# bag which is heavy to handle. We think that the food has

Super performance is super Stool formance

This gave all three of my dogs loose stool and would go right through them that they couldn’t even make it a couple hours when we left the house.

Great dog food!

I’ve been using this for several months now and my dogs are doing great on it. I’ve got 4 dogs total. My smallest is a Jack Russell and my largest is a Rottweiler

I’ve been using this for several months now and my dogs are doing great on it. I’ve got 4 dogs total. My smallest is a Jack Russell and my largest is a Rottweiler. They like when I soak it with hot water before feeding it to them. I love that corn is not an ingredient and the high protein and fat content is very comparable to some more expensive foods. I don’t think this dog food gets the recognition it deserves!
