I really wanted to love this product. I have a senior cat and the vet recommended switching her to a food with less protein. I’ve been mixing this with their existing food for a transition but my senior (16yo) and sister (11yo) are not adapting too well. The younger throws up every time she eats and the senior is eating less.
Only 2 of my 3 of my cats will eat it and unfortunately it gave both of them diarrhea. Too rich for their systems, even with introducing in small amounts. Sadly, I will have to donate it.
I have 3 senior cats, 9,13 and 15 and they all love it. I switched from the Blue Wilderness because I read that Freedom has less protein and therefore isn’t as hard on the kidneys. I’m happy they all like it.
Have 7 cats; 6 are 8 years old and one 11. Changed to grain free because the other cat food had GMO and cats were getting fat plus coats were not shiny. They all like Blue Buffalo Freedom and I am seeing a difference in their coats plus not eating or craving anything. Highly recommend this grain free food!
Been using since they come home over 13yrs trying mature this time.
Cats dug right in, they love it!
We have always given our cats Blue Buffalo--in its different forms. My cats are getting a little older (NOOO!) and so we tried different foods for older cats with no noticeable happiness. So finally I decided to try the BB for mature cats--brilliant huh? They love it, love it, and the throwing up has ceased. We also give the Freedom wet food with it. Happy cats! Happy rugs! Happy parents! Anyone know where I can donate 3 half-used bags of cat food?
I have an older cat who has developed severe reactions to grain over time. Makes him very ill. He has been thriving on this.
Our kitties love this brand. With two special needs cats, the vet wanted to make sure they were eating and maintaining weight. This works great!
I have one cat with bad skin allergies and wanted this food to work so bad! The other cat vomits with some types of food. Was hoping I could put them both on this one and all be good. I mixed with regular food for several days they both ate around it. Once on the complete food itself they just gave up eating. I do feel the size of the food is a bit too small for them. Darn... back to the drawing board.
