This clumping original features clay particles that bond together when soiled, guaranteeing that only used clumps are tossed, along with the odors. This clumping formula creates solid clumps that don’t crumble or break when being scooped out. All usable litter remains in the box to keep litter changes and any extra dust to a minimum. Carefree, indeed.

Always wash your hands thoroughly after handling used cat litter, as cat feces may contain Toxoplasma gondii—a parasite that can cause toxoplasmosis. Pregnant or nursing women, as well as children and anyone with a weakened immune system, should avoid handling used cat litter. Always handle litter in a ventilated area to avoid inhalation. Keep contents and packaging out of reach of children and pets. Seek medical help in case of accidental ingestion.

So I tried this because it was a great price. Thinking it wouldn't clump as good or control odor as well as fresh step or frisco. Well I was pleasantly surprised! This litter not only had excellent clumping but it controlled the odor. AND it had lower dust than any scoopable cat litter I have ever used. This will be my go to cat litter from now on. Btw, the color is a little darker than fresh step or frisco, but it doesnt change the performance of the litter. Thank you premium choice Carefree kitty
Trying to be budget friendly so I decided to try this litter out. I usually use Tidy Cats free and clean, but the 40lb bags were out of stock. This is great on price and it definitely clumps well, but that’s about all that’s good about it. My experience with it was that it’s INCREDIBLY dusty compared to the Tidy Cats. Enough that I had to hold my shirt over my face when scooping it. it really didn’t do anything for smell either. The Tidy Cats blocks odors so well, but my basement smelled like poop after a day using this litter. I generally clean the litter box every day, or every other. Going back to my Tidy Cats and hope they restock the 40lb bags soon!
I bought this to be budget conscious since my regularly used favorite clumping clay litters (Tidy Cats, Frisco) were unavailable at the time and/or the prices fluctuated more than usual to the high side. I use a litter robot and this consistently always gets stuck to the bottom, which requires manual intervention every single time. It might be different with a regular kitty litter box, but even then, the consistency of the clump was too putty like and never really dried to a hard clump.
Thought we'd try something different for our cat litter as the others we've tried create such strong smelling dust and our cat just isn't happy with them. So tried this and regardless of the clumps of urine breaking up, it has been the best litter we could have ever asked for. Our cat has no issue with using his litter box now and everything stays contained now. Definitely sticking with this product and would recommend to anyone that has a picky cat that doesn't like dust.
I rarely ever write reviews but WOW! This is the WORST litter ever. I tried it to make my cats' favorite litter boxes with EVERCLEAN last a little longer. I fixed one freshly scrubbed box with this stuff. It wasn't 3 days old and it was stinking to high heaven. I mean GAG! You get what you pay for. I'll just buy more EVERCLEAN from now on.
I used to buy Dr. Else's cat litter till the price got too high. Then I switched to Frisco. It was a good litter, but as soon as they sensed that they have cornered the market, their price started to rise. I was hoping that I could use "premium" choice as a replacement for Frisco, but alas, it is too dusty. Interestingly, Frisco is now even more expensive than Dr. Else's. I will go back to Dr. Else's.
I ordered this litter to try, it is super dusty as I poured it from the bag into a plastic storage bin. It will do for when I am running low on litter, but I will stick with Scoop Away or any of the Arm and Hammer litters. It does clump extremely well, I just do not like the cloud of dust settle on the floor or baseboards, or having the fur family breathing litter dust.
Great clumps, easy scooping and lower dust (does have some but not much)I have 6 cats and recommend this product. I tried a couple different types of clumping litter because my well known brand that I have been using for years changed their formula and clumps fell apart, stinking terribly. Out of 3 different types I tried I am switching to this!
I have been looking for a clumping litter that does not turn to cement as soon as the cat uses the box. I found it. This litter clamps hard and is much easier to remove than the Tidy Cat I have been using. I plan on changing my standing order to this litter.
Stop! Don't buy this inexpensive cement mix! It stuck to the scooper, the box walls, etc needing intense scraping to wash out- even BROKE the toothbrush I was SCRUBBING with. My poor cats have been licking this off their fur! Wish I'd stopped using sooner. Got tons left. Literally a ton of cement....
