Great for weight
My gelding tied up and I needed something with low starch and sugar content. A food nutritionist from stride animal health recommended this and I’ve used it for 10 months now. My horse looks and feels amazing! He’s a hard weight keeper and eats about 4lbs a day. His top line has improved dramatically and his body has filled out very nicely. Highly recommend feeding to any horse who may need weight! It smells so good My horse loves it!
My mare loves it!
It arrived today! I open the bag and it smells amazing. I believe it's the Fenugreek that smells so awesome. I let both horses sample it and they both loved it. So happy to have found a 10% NSC feed they eat without doctoring. Absolutely recommend.
Haflinger loves it!
I have a air fern of a horse, we don’t need the additional ingredients most commercial feeds bring. This feed looks and smells great and my horse gobbles it right up. It offers low sugar and starch but all the nutrients he needs to stay happy and healthy. Definitely recommend, he’s never looked better.
I really wanted to love this... but...
My OTTB won’t touch it. The feed looks great and smells great. I would eat it, and I thought for sure that my skinny boy would be just as excited. Unfortunately, he not only doesn’t like it, he refuses to eat from his bucket if there is even a handful of this grain mixed in. If I offer him some like a treat out of my hand he spits it back at me. I still think this is probably great feed, but it just doesn’t work for me. I’ve offered handfuls of it to my other horses who gobble it up and come looking for more (too bad they are easy keeper fatties that don’t need additional feed).
He loves it.
I bought this for a still growing PSSM2 horse to help keep his nutritional needs up, but the NSC's as low as I could. This feed is a puffy dry extruded pellet and soaks up water really fast. He also gets a top dress of Grow-n-Win for the protein boost. I love the Bluebonnet and Buckeye line of horse feed with their quality processing in a controlled facility. They smell amazing too.
