I've always fed high quality feed and on a whim I ordered a bag of this after seeing an ad on Facebook. I have a 30 year old rescue horse that was on purina senior and his coat was dull and really wasn't as fat as I would like. After one week of trying this feed and mixing it in with his old feed I can tell a huge difference! He is getting a shine to his coat and actually started cantering in the pasture! Highly recommend this product!
I have a 19 yo horse that had colic surgery a 5 years ago. Her stomach has been very happy on this feed and the farrier is much happier with her hoof health.
A friend recommended blue bonnet feeds and I am so happy I took the leap and ordered this! My horse loves it
I started this feed at the advice of a friend. Her horse was recovering from pneumonia and needed a good senior feed to help put weight back on. She looked amazing after a few months. So I decided to try my guy on it. He’s a 19 year old barrel horse. Naturally lean build and a hard keeper. I had been trying to find a feed that could keep weight on him since he’s pretty active for his age and was having a tough time. He’s been on Triple Crown Senior, Purina Senior and Tucker Mills 10-10-10. No real change, until now! This is just a 6 weeks difference! I couldn’t believe it when I compared his photos! So, happy with the results!
I am a huge fan of Bluebonnet, decided to try the senior and I am hooked! My horse absolutely loves it! I truly can’t think of a better grain out there. The results speak for themselves.
I haven’t used this feed long enough to share results on how it works - but because the bag seems poorly made I won’t purchase more. I ordered two bags to test on my Miniature Horses. Because the “pull string” system is weak, one bag was already opened and spilled when it arrived and the other opened as soon as I lifted it out of the Chewy box. It sounds like an awesome feed but without more secure packaging I won’t be ordering again.
You can use this feed for senior horses, growing, performance, broodmares and horses needing a low starch/sugar diet. This is a great one to feed if you have multiple horses and want to keep it simple. Filled with protein, high fat, vitamin E, probiotics and more! This is a staple for us! You can also visit their website for excellent webinars and give them a call for a nutrition consultation if you’re unsure of what particular Bluebonnet Feed would be your new go to!!!
This feed is amazing!! My horse had been eating it for years! I’m so glad it’s available on Chewy!!
I just started my picky hard keeper on the bluebonnet intensity senior. So far we’re doing good! Sometimes he will go off feed, but he hasn’t yet with this feed.
I am really impressed with this grain and company. I have a 14 year old mare who needed some weight on her after she was diagnosed with gastric ulcers. She is extremely picky and loves this grain. I already notice a difference in her!
