    Loaded Guaranteed Analysis

    By on

I was looking at the guaranteed analysis on this tag compared to other "big" brands you see in the chain farm stores. This one hands down blows them out of the water! I love knowing that I am giving my birds everything they need...just wish Chewy also carried Bluebonnet's nibblet (tiny pellet) version of the Egg Booster as I personally prefer pellets because I think there's less waste. But it's definitely worth it to keep buying this one!

    severely disappointed

    By on

Ever since I started to feed all of my healthy laying hens are now dripping soft eggs.... do not claim offer the all in one balance for laying hens. Prices are same as an all inclusive feed without the results. REALLY disappointed I’m a huge bluebonnet fan and all my other animals do not require outside supplements with this brand.

    Layer feed

    By on

I ordered this feed based on description and price. My chickens pick at it but they prefer mash and kitchen scraps. The local wild birds and squirrels seem to like it better. Now what to do with 50lbs if it???

    Not for my birds

    By on

I tried this food for the first time. Everything looked good but my chickens hate it. I have cleaned up more then they have eaten. My egg production has also gone down.

    Smells and looks great!

    By on

I am switch from another establishment that I question their quality control to ordering my food from Chewy. This feed smelled and looked great. I mixed it with my other food. I will continue to order from chewy as long as the price remains reasonable. Plus I am trying to stay in with the COVID-19 situation

    Yucky molasses

    By on

Just opening the bag, this feed seems fine. It has a nice, consistent crumble size, not dusty. But the chickens don't like it - they will pick at it a little dry, they refuse to eat it wet. I took a chance on this brand, never having tried it before, because it was the most affordable option per pound at the time. I will have to mix it with another feed to keep it from going to waste. Def will not buy again.

Good Starter for older chickens being rehomed

    By on

I actually bought by mistake I meant to by the pellets. That being said we had just taken in 21 chickens and it worked great.(a little messy) By the time they had finished the 2 bags I had bought.I had started with 8 eggs and I am getting 19 eggs a day.(I have 2 molting). I really prefer the pellets due to the waist.
