Let your pup discover an intense, satisfying treat with Bones & Chews Himalayan Cheese Large Dog Treats. This hard cheese snack comes from an ancient Himalayan recipe, using only four ingredients— including yak and cow milk and a splash of lime juice and salt. It’s a durable treat that’s made to last for dogs that need plenty of chewing time. Try Himalayan cheese for a highly digestible and tasty alternative to rawhide. As your pup gnaws, he’ll be able to bite off small, cheesy bits that are rich in protein but free of grains, glutens, binding agents, artificial preservatives, colors or flavors. And when he gets down to the last bite, you can pop it in the microwave for about 30 seconds (add 10-second intervals if needed) and cool it down for a delicious puffed snack your dog can continue to enjoy.

I have a 6 month of dachshund and he seems to like the large size better than the small. He shaves it down around every border til it shrinks away. Once it gets small enough to me hard for him to hold, and potentially a choking hazard, I soak it in warm water for 10 minutes and then microwave it. It blows up into a crunchy cheese puff and he gets to eat it like a regular treat at that point. He's more interested in these than nyla bones or antler. And it's hard enough to last quite a long time for a teething puppy. Plus zero waste with the cheese puff hack. 10/10.
As the title says, my dog loves these chews. They're also very long lasting (really, he's been working on one for over a week now) and they barely have any scent, and the scent is actually sorta pleasant for a dog chew - it's just sort of smoky, not yucky. They work great to bring to obedience class as a distractor for when it isn't his turn, too.
Yak milk and lime. Who would guess just those two ingredients would combine to make my dog’s favorite chew toy. Lasts for days, and when it gets chewed down to a nub, I simply microwave it for a few minutes and it puffs up to become a yummy treat.
My dogs love these. Only issue i have is sometimes they are to thin and my dogs will break them into chunks. I get they are by weight but thicker is better.
I saw these recommended on Facebook by other labs owners and thought they were worth a shot. Better these than using me for a chew toy! It's her favorite chew, lasts a long time and I make sure I always have it with me. My friends two German Shepherds are now fans also! Highly recommend!
My silly hound dog won't chew these. He prefers to dig a hole and hide them in the yard. He digs them up a few weeks later and tries to bring the gross thing in the house.
These are healthy. Natural treats. My dog loves them. It takes him a while to eat the whole thing as they are very hard.
Our dog, Tucker, continues to enjoy these, sometimes tirelessly. However, with the last few recurring auto shipments, I have noticed that the LARGE sizes have been inconsistent (and at their price point, thy should be!!). They have dropped in size. Not the same length, and sometimes, not the same thickness. As a result they do not last as long as previously. Additionally, in the last two shipments, there were a couple which were broken in half during either packaging or shipment, which makes them almost unusable in that the broken lengths are close to the cutoff point where we will not allow him to chew them further. It did not warrant returning the entire package, but wanted to bring this to your attention for future handling and packaging. He seems to prefer this brand over others we have tried, so we are not giving up on them for now.
I’ve been buying these yak chews for a couple of years now. They have been amazing overall. They’re a bit pricy but they are totally worth some quiet time from the pup. I’m really disappointed in my recent order. All three chews have gotten significantly smaller than they have been. I see that the price has not gone down, so now I’m already buying an expensive treat and getting less for it.
These were new to me but recommended by several people. Sadie is a year old and loves to chew (but not destructively on my stuff). She can go to town on these and I take them away from her after about 15 minutes or they would be gone in 24 hours. Tip: when the chew gets too small and is a choking hazard, pop it in the microwave for a minute or two and it puffs up, like a cheesy puff and can be finished without any worries!
