Boxiecat Litter Extender Probiotic Odor Encapsulator Spray, 4-fl oz bottle

As probably most fur puff parents have, I’ve tried myriad solutions to litter box stink, from wall sticking things to charcoal pouches, odor absorbing beads and natural fragrance sprays. The Smell ya Litter from the Poo-pourri is the nicest smelling odor cover-up spray I’ve found, it uses essential oils. I’ve looked into zeolite, charcoal, and various enzyme products meant to also be used in trash bins, etc. and they just don’t work well enough, especially for urine, my male cat likes to pee in the corners and then cover elsewhere in the box, or immediate dump stinks. Fragranced litter, even the odor-absorbing lightly-fragranced ones, make me absolutely sick and the journey to find a true solution has been long and expensive. Bought this on a whim after getting adds for Boxie litter, which just seems too spendy to even try, especially when I’m pretty satisfied with grass-based litter. As much as I like grass-based litter, it does get an awful smell after a few weeks, with twice-daily scooping and weekly top-offs, and I have to change out the entire box. Yes, I know that’s something you should do anyways but sometimes the odor just HITS when I don’t have time or don’t have a new bag handy. Filled a box with new litter, also yes I know, do currently have one box for 2 cats, I live in 500 sq ft, sprayed this stuff in a light layer and mixed a bit. After first scooping I sprayed the litter again. KILLED ALL STENCH IMMEDIATELY. Even after a heavy dump I spray this in the air so I can scoop without struggling to cover my nose lol. The fact that it uses some magical scientific molecular odor-absorbing stuff as opposed to fragrance and actually works in the air and on the litter, without causing it to seem wet or clumpy, unlike some enzyme sprays I’ve tried, is miraculous and a savior for a small space with two cats using a big open box - big boy doesn’t like covers. Has saved my space from litter stink and a highly recommended giving it a shot. The sprayer is also nice, hasn’t clogged, or leaked, and has a gentle spray. Although it’s a small bottle I feel like it will last a pretty good length of time. Unless I’ve missed it I wish they made a big refill bottle as it’s actually nice to have a small one like this by the box. Apparently I really can’t write short reviews but I do take the time when something actually works and appreciate when someone explains why and how! I’ve also had to remove a ton of punctuation because this review filter thinks they’re emojis.
