Licking pads are flimsy

This is an AWESOME problem solving food puzzle for my 65lb big girl. It is sturdy, has removable suction cup licky pads, and many treat slots to keep her busy. At first, she had a little trouble figuring it out as her other food puzzle toys are a bit easier to slide, but they are also less sturdy and flimsy. This is a hefty puzzle, it can endure pushing and nudging by a big dog. The rubber pieces placed in the back help prevent it from sliding around on smooth surfaces. It’s also easy to clean. I popped off the licky pads and took a scrub brush to all the slots. Easier than cleaning a baking pan. We love this puzzle!

Very happy with this. I don't know why I was on the fence about getting one of these for my dogs. It really is great for any age or activity level of dog. My high energy sheltie loved it, but I was most excited for my senior boy. This is an engaging activity for him that he was excited about. Not only did it engage and occupy all of the dogs in my house, the cat even tried to figure it out too. My kids enjoyed filling it with treats. It was bigger than I thought it would be, even though it does list size in the description. One variation I might do is once they find all the treats, is to put the squirt treat you can use in the kong toys on the lick mat for a reward. It was fun to watch them sniff out the treats and use their noses and paws to figure out the puzzle.

Sturdy and well made. The openings for treats slide easily and there are so many of them you can fill it up and it will last awhile unlike some of the smaller ones

Sturdy and well made. The openings for treats slide easily and there are so many of them you can fill it up and it will last awhile unlike some of the smaller ones that only have a few slots for treats. Each slot cover also has holes in it so the dog can smell the treats through it. The pads for licking have suctions on the back of them so they don't come off while the dog is licking at them. I also love the super cute rainbow design.

I have 2 boys and 2 girls, all pit mixes. I always thought about getting one of these to see how they would handle it and I wasn’t disappointed. The girls did amazing, caught on very quickly and got all their treats out. The boys struggled a little and thought they could just chew/bite off the pieces in their way, but they did not beat the board, thankfully! It’s constructed very well. I love the color scheme and durability. Highly satisfied with the reactions of our fur babies. Challenging and rewarding at the same time.

The Brightkins Calming Rainbow Treat Dispensing Dog Toy is fun and multifunctional. It comes with two rubbery lick pads on which I can spread treats like peanut butter or yogurt. It keeps the dogs busy licking the treats off of the textured pads. The pads are easily removed and cleaned. The pads also have little suction cups on the bottom which keep them in place while attached to the rainbow toy and also allows them to be stuck to the side of a cabinet, etc. for dogs to find and enjoy. The rainbow part of the toy includes a bunch of individual sliding pieces under which a treat or food can be placed and then covered by the sliding pieces. The dog (or cat) can smell the food and has to figure out how to slide the pieces of the toy in order to expose the food. It’s a lot of fun for me to watch them figure it out. The toy is intended for dogs, but our cat was actually the first to figure it out. It keeps them busy and challenges them to use problem solving skills.

I tried this toy with my two Bernese Mountain Dogs (100+ lbs each). At first, they didn’t quite “get it”. I had to move the squares myself so they could see and eat the treats. Once they figured out, they started using their noses to push the squares and even scratched with their paws like digging until they found the last hidden pieces. The next day, they were much quicker in finding the treats. This toy is easy to wash, but a bit tricky to dry due to the squares, so be ready for that. Overall, it is a fun and engaging toy. It can take a bit time for dogs to learn but once they do, it keeps them busy. I will buy another one.

This kept my Koko busy for about 15-20 mins. I added pumpkin puree to the lick mats and mixed treats and kibble to the compartments. It took her a minute to figure out how to get the treats, but once she did, she was fast as lightning! This was my first puzzle toy and I’m happy to give her an interactive enrichment toy! I can’t always play with her, so I’m pleased that she can have her solo play.

I gave this product to my grand furbabies. They are very hyper and have high anxiety. We put treats I. The different compartments and set it down. This toy kept them happy, focused and entertained for over 30min. They loved it. This will be a common product for us to use when they are bored or have anxiety issues about people visiting and such!
