Every toy or chew says supervise your pet while they play with or chew on the item, and with these antlers, you REALLY need to take that seriously. I’ve ordered three packages of two each for our pup, and she does love them. Two of the packages were fine, and the antlers were thick enough that she couldn’t break off any pieces. I still didn’t let her chew on them when I wasn’t watching and threw them away when they started getting scraped out and more likely to break. The third package had two halves that both had a really thin end; I barely let her chew on them and considered throwing away the package unopened. But they’re not cheap, so I just watched her closely. Today she broke off this big shard of antler which would definitely not have been good for her to swallow. It’s hard finding chews that stand up to a big dog, but these have to be off the list. They’re just too dangerous for me to let her have.
When I ordered I was a bit anxious that a size range was given for the bones assuming that what I would received would be on the small end of the range. I was excited to see that when the antlers came they truly were "large" antlers appropriate for large dogs. Our family has a lot of experience with elk antlers so we know what we should see in this product. I would say this is a quality company selling an excellent product.
