My overweight donkey is on a thyroid supplement/medication and we needed a low sugar feed to administer this. He has actually lost more weight on this feed than the previous low starch ration balancer we used from a competitor brand. He loves it and it’s been working great.

Great low-NSC pick for easy keepers who stay fat on air. So palatable I can put meds in a handful of it and he will take it all like a treat. Something he enjoys eating and fills out his nutritional needs. Been using this product since it hit the market and no intention of changing.

Pony loves

My pony loves this feed. He has a cresty neck so I wanted something low in sugar to use to mix his supplements in.

Just OK, pretty unappetizing to the horses

Stats on the bag are great if your horses actually like it. Mine don’t clean it up, so going back to Tribute

Horse with laminitis

Because horses that have this condition need little to no sugar and grass has lots of sugar and causes the condition to be worse.

Palatable for my easy keepers.

This is a great feed for the easy keepers at my farm. One is prone to metabolic issues already and the other 2 are thrifty.

We were struggling to find an easy and balanced option for our mini that has to live on a dry lot. After consulting with a Buckeye manager, we ordered this and have been incredibly happy. Pony gets to eat twice a day with the big boys, she is a more appropriate weight, and is clearly more comfortable. Bonus is the feeding rate is low, so it is easy on the checkbook!

Excellent!

I have a pony with EMS and was slightly overweight. His insulin levels were high but after implementing struck grazing muzzle use, feed rations and a supplement his insulin levels dropped to high normal. Me not being totally satisfied with that I decided to switch from Grow N Win to Low N Steady. This combined with the above measures and my boy is down 50lbs and is healthy! EMS is well controlled with this feed and the upside is the portion size is a little more so he gets to nibble a little longer. I highly recommended this feed!
