Loud Alert
By Neli on Feb 4, 2021
I was having a lot of issues with potty training because my puppy would sit so quietly at the door and I would miss it a lot of the times. I decided to get the bells so that he could make a loud noise whenever he wants to go out. The bells come with training instructions, but my puppy did not pay attention during our training sessions. I found that for him, just associating the bells jingling with the door opening was sufficient enough. He picked up on it within a couple days and now he smacks them really hard so I can tell when he wants to go out even if I'm a couple rooms away.

Easy Potty Training
By observingoakley on Feb 16, 2021
I had learned years ago to use a bell for puppies/dogs to let you know they need to go out. My family used to use an old Christmas jingle bell on a string, but when I got my own puppy, decided I’d try one made for this purpose! It’s easy to use for her and I can hear her ring it from upstairs! It’s also long enough that her & her short corgi legs can still reach it with her nose.

a little hard to make the bells ring right now
By Shelby on Feb 9, 2021
Mom put this on the door for me to let her know when I need to go outside. I'm kind of small right now, but getting the idea and I can bang it against the door. This gets her attention! As I get bigger and stronger I'll have a lot of fun ringing those bells. PS: from mom.....Shelby is now 12wks old and learning by leaps and bounds. Perfect length for her, but she's still a bit weak in making the bells ring. Won't be long though!

Can't be heard
By Silentbells on Jan 30, 2021
Nice idea, but the bells are virtually silent. You have to be listening carefully even in the same room and it is impossible to hear them from an adjoining room. Perhaps the company changed the bell size and type on my product, but otherwise it makes no sense. Hung from the door knob there was sufficient clearance for them to jangle, but they sound muffled and quiet. And my dog Luna was trained quickly to give them a good shake with her nose and then her paw. Sad.

Great training tool
By Luna on Feb 16, 2021
Our puppy is on her way to independently using this after 2+ weeks of verbal cues and assistance. We started as soon as we brought her home at 8 weeks. She's almost 11 weeks old and she has independently rang the bell and whimpered to let us know she needed to go outside. She still has a way to go (having a little accident here and there), but the bell is a great tool.

It Does Its Job, For Multiple Species Apparently!
By Connor on Jan 15, 2021
So we purchased this for our dog... Unfortunately she's very timid and unconfident, so it'll take her a while to be ok with these bells. We're working on it! However, we did have a very unexpected benefactor in the house... My family's male cat, Micah, will watch my dog and I train. He caught on that when the bells ring, we go outside. So now, he sometimes rings the bells(and screams) when he wants to put HIS harness on and go out. I wasn't expecting it, but hey, it works. Maybe he can teach Bella that these things aren't so scary!

Works great but puppy outsmarted us
By FennyMom on Feb 15, 2021
The bells are perfect - not too loud but easily audible. Our 5 month old pup figured out pretty quickly that ringing the bells means go outside, so she started ringing for fun, not just for potty breaks.... we’ve put them on a shelf for a while until she gets a bit older. Will definitely try again.

Bells are Dead, No ring
By HYeaton on Feb 21, 2021
Very disappointed, the bells are cheap tin with what appears to be a plastic ball in them. They do not ring or jingle like a normal bell of this design. They just " thunk" and are hard to hear from 5 feet away when bumped by the dog wanting to go out. Buy another brand.

Works well
By PAguy on Feb 14, 2021
Looks ok and seems to be working. The bells can be heard from a few rooms away. Only problem I see with it is that it hangs to low. My pup likes to lay by the door and look out and when he moves or rotates he sometimes accidentally hits it with his tail or bum.

So far so good!
By Amber on Feb 4, 2021
The quality of the strap and bells seems great. My puppy took to them right away, like I swear someone had already taught her to use them! I have them hanging on a cabinet knob near my front door. Need to teach her to hit them a little more so it's more obvious, but that will come with time.
