Instructions

Rabbits: Place 1-3"" of Carefresh Rabbit & Ferret litter in a shallow litter box or tray near your pet's food and water bowls. Place a layer of hay on top of the litter. Because rabbits like to eat while using the litter box, this will encourage good litter box habits.

Ferrets: Place 1"" of Carefresh Rabbit & Ferret litter in a litter box designed specifically for ferrets. The litter box should be triangular-shaped, have low sides and be large enough to fit all four paws at once. This will encourage good litter box habits, because Ferrets like to go to the bathroom in corners.

    So much dust!

By Malnaur on May 11, 2021

This is not dust free litter. When I opened the bag a cloud of dust came out. My animals and I were sneezing. Will be returning this.

    Bunny litter

By Amber on Mar 19, 2021

This litter works really well but is way too expensive. I use saw dust and sprinkle with baking soda to keep it smelling fresh. A huge sack of baking soda can be purchased at Sams for a very reasonable price and it lasts a long time.

    Easy to clean

By LolaJane on Feb 22, 2021

I have used these for a month now in place of the regular carefresh bedding for rabbit litter box. They are sift nicely resulting in less product waste. They absorb odor pretty well, much better then regular carefresh bedding. Hope they offer a bigger bag at a better price. The bag lasted about 1 month with daily cleaning.

This is an overpriced take to a far better alternative

By Chris on Feb 1, 2021

This is the paper version of compressed pine pellets. I would 100% recommend pine pellets. Why? 1. Absorbs at least 4x more. With the paper pellets, I had to change roughly 4x as often. 2. Cheaper. Pine pellets run $6 for a 40lb bag There is only *one* advantage to these paper pellets: they don't turn to sawdust, which is why they absorb so little. They barely expand.

    Litter box filler

By Bunbun on May 31, 2021

Like this better than shavings. A lot more absorbent and longer time between cleanings.

Used once and won’t ever again!

By Daisy on Jan 31, 2021

I tried this litter for my daughters bunny instead of the kaytee wood pellets. This didn’t work at all, it didn’t soak up the urine like the wood pellets do. And it didn’t help with smell at all, the urine smell was disgusting!!!!!

    The best rabbit litter!

By KrisVicious on Dec 16, 2020

I have tried all sorts of litter for my beautiful bunny. I was finding myself changing her litter box every three days; all I could smell was her pee...gross. I found this type of litter on chewy and omg it is the best! I can now go a full week without changing her litter. Carefresh litter expands and absorbs so well and you don’t need a ton of it. A little goes a long way which is also awesome. Definitely try it!!

    best bunny litter

By snickerandtheosmom on Dec 7, 2020

This is the best litter for my bunny’s litter box. We had been using a cat litter that was all paper/natural and it was no where near as good. Since these pellets are small they can easily be sifted with a scoop. This greatly lengthens the time in between changes. I used to change his box every other day with natural cat litter but with this he can make it 4-5 days and still be clean! I would highly highly recommend this to anyone with a bunny!

Effective, easy to clean, and soft!

By Belle on Nov 8, 2020

The pellets look hard at first but they are actually very soft and comfortable for my rabbit's feet. They absorb pee very well and doesn't break apart like some pellet litter, making it easier to clean. I like to spot clean the litter box daily so I'm able to use a scooper to scoop out only the poops and shake the pellets back into the box, then I complete change the litter every other day. There is a slight "paper" smell but it still controls the odor well for a few days or until much of the litter is used. I totally recommend this litter as an alternate to the usual paper bedding! My rabbit didn't have any problems adjusting to the new litter.
