Feeding Instructions

For adult cats, feed 1 pack per 6-8 lbs. of body weight per day. Kittens require up to two and a half times this amount. For pregnant and lactating females, allow free access to food. Adjust the amount of food to meet your cat's individual needs. Food should be fed at room temperature. Always provide access to fresh water.

Transition Instructions

Slowly transition your pet to Caru stews over a period of about 7 days so that the new food is not a sudden shock to their system. Mix 25% of the new food in with 75% of the current food for the first 2 days, then mix 50% new food with 50% existing food for the next 2 days, then mix 75% new food with 25% current food for the next 2 days. By day seven, you can feed your dog 100% new food. If your pet experiences any kind of digestive upset during this time, try slowing down the process.

Love it and Good for them!

By JanP on Nov 6, 2021

I have 4 cats 2 are 17 and 2 are younger. I bought this for my old kitties because of the liquid and they LOVE it. They love it every time that I give it to them which is pretty unusual here. The younger cats will eat but they mostly like dry food. Trying to transition them to wet. This may help with that. The packaging is great. I shake it up and divide it between bowls with a spoon. What could be easier. I can get every bit out of the package. It's easy to open also. I only wish there were more flavors available. I will definitely buy this again. If my cats like something for more than a few meals, it's a keeper.

    Cat NEVER turns it down.

By Phoenix on Oct 28, 2021

My little poop is a pain in the butt when it comes to food. He's rediculously finicky to the point where he'll love a can of wet food in the morning but by the afternoon he wants something else. I never know if he's going to eat what I give him and I have to make sure I rotate his canned food bc he absolutely will not eat the same flavor for more than a day... except for this. He loves this stew to the point that all I have to say is "Beo.. want some Caru?" and he goes crazy. I've only tried the Wild salmon and Turkey but I plan on getting a few of the other flavors just to test them out. When all else fails... Caru never does!

    Mostly Yes

By Jain on Oct 25, 2021

When I opened the first one, I thought it looked awful. But the cats loved it! That’s all the proof I needed. My only complaint is the packaging. One package is way too much for one cat, and it’s difficult to split it up between them. I ended up spooning it out across the 3 bowls, but it was awkward. I’ll think of it as an option, but really hope they change the packaging. Maybe pouches?

    Read the reviews

By Hansel on Oct 7, 2021

I read the reviews for this product and although many of them stated that their kitty’s did not like this product I thought that because of the good quality of ingredients how could this be. When I first received this product my cat really liked it a lot by the third and fourth box he just turned his nose up at it. So much for taking a chance. The product is very costly and the packaging is atrocious. Very difficult to open and reuse. I’m sure many people are having success but it’s not for my kitty.

    Not tasty and wasteful packaging

By CaruAseptic on Sep 8, 2021

I like trying new foods. Wild Salmon and Turkey sounded good. None of my 6 cats will eat it. Plus the packaging is hard to deal with. It is really hard to get everything out of it. And I often end up squirting the stew somewhere other than the dish. And the packaging is not recyclable. What's to like

    Great ingredients

By Florence on Sep 9, 2021

This is a well made cat food with great ingredients but my two cats won’t eat it. It has, as stated, a stew like consistency which pours out of the container but then needs to be scraped out with a spoon to remove it all from the container. For some reason though, my cats don’t like it.

    Unparalleled quality—cat loves it

By MikaCat on Jul 16, 2021

This food is the highest quality! I searched high and low for a human-grade cat food, sourced from North America. I nearly gave up until I discovered Caru. They are the real deal. Best of all: my senior cat with sensitive digestion thrives on it.

    My cats' new favorite

By CaSiB on Jun 26, 2021

When I first opened this I thought it was disgusting and my cats probably wouldn't eat it. It looks like a meat smoothie - you pour it out. But they love it and now won't hardly eat their other food. I feel better about the cardboard containers as opposed to metal cans in the landfill too.

I cant believe my cat LOVES this stuff!

By Kailualuv on Mar 27, 2021

I need to start by admitting that I ordered two cases of food never wondering if the cat would eat it. I was so focused on the right ingredients it never entered my mind it could be snubbed. However, when the first box was opened and poured into his dish I didn't think he would ever eat it. It looked like his old food AFTER he pukes it up, (luckily it doesn't smell) I figured there was no way he'd eat it. But because it was so good for him I wanted him to eat it. It took 12 hours of him refusing to even taste it, I finally gave in and added a spoonful of old wet food into the "stew". He licked the bowl clean. Now when he gets a can of the old food he snubs it and demands stew. He pukes much I need to start by admitting that I ordered two cases of food never wondering if the cat would eat it. But be ready - seriously, it looks disgusting! … more
