It is the same thing I usually get, but smaller with a different cap. Prince turned his nose up to it. I did notice it was darker with floating pieces. He is a very picky eater and likes his broth plain. I will go back to the bigger size next reorder. I just had a thought, maybe I strain it first to take out the floating pieces. He may like it then.
My cats hated this!
on Apr 9, 2021
I bought the Caru chicken BONE broth (different product, same company) for my ancient and ailing cat whose renal disease leaves her thirsty much of the time - and she loved it. (So did the other three cats.) Then I ordered this product, thinking it was the same thing. It wasn't readily clear that this broth contains vegetables - like tomatoes (not onion and garlic which are bad for cats and dogs) - and none of my cats would touch it. That is why the bone broth costs more than 3x the $ for the same amount of broth. So, FYI, read the fine print. This product may be great for some animals, just not mine.
My 17 year old cat loves this
on Mar 6, 2021
My cat, we'll call him His Highness is very picky about his water. Along with his charcoal filtered fountain which I have to clean twice a week, I have multiple bowls of fresh water for him to drink from - and it's still a struggle to keep him hydrated. This a great way to give him extra liquid. I mix in his supplements meds and wet food and make a slurry - twice a day. He loves it.
Unfortunately my cats hated it

Unfortunately even though I was excited to give this to my cats both my cats tasted it and walked away. I put it on some wet food next and they refused it.
Too many ingredients
on Mar 4, 2021
My cat loves chicken broth but I can't give her the kind I use because of the salt and onions so I tried this. No go. It's got too many ingredients besides the chicken broth. It might be healthy but he won't touch it. The dogs will eat because they eat anything so it will get used but I won't buy it again.
Thick & better than your average bone broth
on Apr 11, 2021
This product is thick with broth including veggies & smells way better than those bone broths out there. I would recommend giving this one a serious try.

I purchased this broth for my 18 yr old cat to entice her to eat more. It is a terrible product. It smells of celery and she just walked away and wouldn't even try it. Also the carton was broken and spilled all over the box with other cat food. I salvaged what I could but worst decision to buy this.
Bone broth for health
on Mar 14, 2021
I was using one from the store that had no onions in it but now they stopped carrying it. I am so glad to find this one. It is so healthy for them and us to have bone broth.
Caru daily broth

This sounded like a good product, but only one of my 5 cats ate it and it was only once. All my other cats turned away from it. : (
3 cats--all said No.

One of my cats rarely drinks water, so I'm always trying to find some way to add more liquid to her diet. She likes gravy from her canned food, but I haven't been able to find anything I can add to increase the amount she drinks. This was one that all 3 of my cats refused to eat or drink. I guess I'd just as well give up.
