Depending on the age, activity level and condition of your cat, the feeding guidelines will need to be adjusted.

The normal daily feeding amount for a healthy adult cat:

For pregnant or lactating females, offer two to three times the normal adult requirement. For kittens, feed up to twice the normal adult requirement from two to fourteen months of age in three to four feedings. When switching foods, gradually increase the new food and decrease the previous food to help make a smooth transition. Visit your veterinarian regularly to maintain your pet’s health. Always provide fresh water.

Freshpet will be shipped frozen on dry ice and in an insulated box. This ensures the food arrives cold to you home temperature-controlled packaging designed to keep your pet’s food fresh. If for any reason the food doesn't arrive cold please reach out to Chewy customer service.

Chewy will ship the product frozen to keep it fresh. We recommend serving Freshpet food fresh from the fridge, but you can choose to freeze any unused portions for later use. Just thaw frozen portions in the fridge before serving. Be aware that you may see a slight change in color and texture when thawed, but this won’t change the nutritional value or taste of the meals.
