Just purchased this new stainless steel cat fountain because I read online that plastic fountains are really bad for your pets and harbor bacteria so we thought

Just purchased this new stainless steel cat fountain because I read online that plastic fountains are really bad for your pets and harbor bacteria so we thought we would try a stainless steel since it doesn’t have plastic parts and would be more healthy for our Maine coon girls. It was very easy to set up has a large capacity bowl and I love the copper spout because copper is really good for staying germ-free to my knowledge. The girls are very curious of the new fountain. They use the old one every day, so I am hopeful that they’ll use the new one every day as well for now. I’m gonna run both of them just to make sure they’re getting plenty of water and getting used to the new fountain.

I bought three different fountains for my cats and my dog recently. This one has a large enough capacity that I can leave it on the floor for the dog and there's still something left in it for the cats to drink. It has a nice lines and the copper spout is a cute detail. I have one cat that was always demanding to get water from the faucet every time we entered the kitchen or a bathroom. I was worried he would not drink out of a fountain but he seems to really like it. I think he's getting even more water now that he can drink anytime he wants. This is the only one of my fountains that doesn't have a window so that you can see the water level. I just top it off every few days and take it apart once a week to clean it. The directions say change the filter every 2 weeks and luckily these filters are not as expensive as some of the other ones.

Georgy took to it immediately. Batting at it, kicking her paws. Then she just couldn't resist the spout & began drinking from it! Also, the pump is completely quiet!

Mixed Bag

My cat isn't interested in this fountain. I don't know if he's weirded out by his reflection in the pan or just weirded out by fountains in general. Overall, this seems like a decent fountain. It's stainless steel where it can be (top and bottom, rather than just the top pan like some other fountains). I doubt the curved spout is truly 100% copper; it looks and feels more like a copper-colored stainless steel, perhaps. I have a real copper spout from an older, expensive fountain that is heavier and not spotless like this one. The pump-filter-spout apparatus is a little bit convoluted with all the pieces and kind of a pain to clean but is probably the best arrangement possible for this design. It is truly very quiet, which I appreciate so much. All in all, this may be a good fit for some cats but we're adding it to our growing pile of unloved fountains.

Horrible

The lid on this pot does not sit level, causing water to pool. The filter does not even go to the bottom of the pan leaving a small pool of water at the bottom

The lid on this pot does not sit level, causing water to pool. The filter does not even go to the bottom of the pan leaving a small pool of water at the bottom. It has suction cups on the feet of the filter (that do work) but they do not suction to the pan because they don not reach. The chord also does not have a sensible way of coming out of the fountain and It literally makes the lid not sit level.

I bought this because my male cat drinks very little, but DOES splash the water all over the kitchen floor almost everyday. I even got a special two pound water

I bought this because my male cat drinks very little, but DOES splash the water all over the kitchen floor almost everyday. I even got a special two pound water bowl that is supposed to keep them from dragging the bowl around and splashing it all over. Well. It does not. Oceans of water several time a week to clean up. My friend recommended a water fountain. I put it off, but finally, chose one on Chewy that was somewhat affordable for me, and looked simple enough, as I didn't know if he would take to it, and I don’t really have money to throw away. I got it this morning and he sat at it for half an hour, drinking and gazing, drinking and gazing. He did not tip it over, he didn’t even try. He just drank from the little stream going down. He loves it. I love it. Granted, it’s only been a day, We can see how it works in the future? But it was easy to assemble, and make work, it doesn’t make a sound, which honestly, it would have been cool to have a little trickle sound, but I am not going to quibble! However, Chewy REALLY NEEDS TO MAKE THE FILTERS AVAILABLE! Yes, I am on the notify list. I’ll clean it every week or so, it’s stainless steel not plastic, which is great! So far so good! Yes, I recommend!

This fountain is so easy to assemble and clean, and it's so quiet! I cannot hear it at all. The stainless steel kettle and copper spout are antimicrobial. They stay much cleaner than my former plastic fountain. Filters are reasonably priced on Chewy. I am very pleased! And so is my cat. Highly recommend!
