Cat Mate Replacement Filter Cartridges for Cat Mate and Dog Mate Fountains

These are very efficient filters that keep the water clean and free of hair and debris. I have 3 cats, 2 of whom like to stick their paws in the water to drink, and these filters do a great job of trapping the dirt from their paws and keeping it from circulating. I clean the fountain and replace the filter every 5-7 days. Chewy definitely has the best prices and I always have these on my autoship.

I assume this is the correct filter, It fits just fine, but it is different than the one i removed.

I love the Cat Mate fountain. I bought one eight years ago for my 4 cats and am still using it. They love drinking water from it as long as I change the filter every every 6-8 weeks. That may seem frequent, but all my cats are long-haired. They shed fur into the fountain often. The filter does a good job of trapping that fur as long as I change the filters on time. I am quite happy with this fountain water system because it is durable, the filters are reasonably priced through Chewy, and the tiny pump sufficiently circulates the water through the filter, up to the upper level, and back down to the bottom basin. The replacement filter cartridges were delivered quickly and in perfect condition. The filter cartridges work great and last quite a long time.

I'm not exactly sure how this happened.. I used this filter after needing to replace the filter my fountain came with, but my cats let me know they were thirsty when their extra water bowl was empty but the fountain wasn't. I assumed something was wrong with the water in the fountain since it wasn't empty, and I found it full of fungus when I opened it up! I'm not even going to bother with the filter anymore since I replace the water so often anyway.

These filters are great, They came on time and they last a really long time in my dogs water fountain.I would recommend them

Chewy stated that these filters are meant for Catmate and it's what is sold from the Catmate store, but they are sub-par. The filter that comes with the fountain is packed more tightly with the filtration materials, and the netting is more durable. I have a multi-cat home, so I put a replacement on top of the original from the start as recommended, and when I went to rinse them both off, the replacement started coming apart whereas the original was perfectly fine. I'm frustrated because I spent a lot of time looking for a good and long-lasting fountain for our home I looked for a long time to make sure the fountain I was getting would have accessible filters so I could use it for a long time. Filters are fine . Unfortunately my cat mate stopped working after approximately 6 months
