Questions & Answers

will the filters for the Catit green topped flower water fountain fit the Catit Senses blue topped water fountain?
Answer by ChewyNov 10, 2018
These filters fit the Catit Design Senses Drinking Fountain and the Catit Flower Pet Fountain.

Will these fit the Catit Stainless Steel fountain?
Answer by ChewyApr 09, 2020
These fountains are compatible with the Catit Fresh & Clear Stainless Steel Top Cat Drinking Fountain.

How long do these last?
Answer by ChewyApr 30, 2020
The filter should be replaced every 3-4 weeks or when there are visible signs that the filter is saturated with foreign matter (debris, food, hair, etc.) More frequent changes may be necessary due to indoor environmental and water conditions, as well as multiple pet use.

Do these filters remove flouride from tap water?
Answer by ChewyDec 22, 2018
The filter does not remove flouride. The Catit Triple Action filter removes magnesium and calcium from tap water (2). These minerals can accumulate in your pet’s lower urinary tract and lead to urinary tract diseases, which is a common health issue for cats. It also removes odors caused by bacteria and chlorine (1), and retains stray hairs, sediment and debris (3).

Works great!

These filters are reliable! Only reason I didn't give it a 5-star is the price. For only 2 filters, compared to off-brands, it seems like the company is price gauging and I might make the switch for the sake of value soon. Sometimes these filter require a weekly maintenance, as does the fountain (as expected) of rinsing and deep cleaning to avoid foaming and overflow. It usually only overflows or foams when I haven't throughly rinsed the filter (as it instructs). Other that the price and the need to troubleshoot overflow, these are fairly reliable and the fountain does a great job encouraging my Orange Tabby tom cat to stay hydrated!

Filter causes water to overflow

These filters are fine for the first couple of days. But eventually, the filter seems to clog up and water pools on the top, eventually overflowing all over the floor. The fountain would work fine otherwise. It is frustrating. I have used the fountain without the filters, but then it is too noisy. Also, I have had some of the foam that other reviewers have mentioned. Really inconsistent performance.

Poor Filtration

These refills have made the water fountain overflow because the water backs up due to poor drainage. I tried a couple different ones from the package thinking maybe the first one was just a fluke but so far 3 have done it and I can’t use that fountain at this point.

I wish I never bought this fountain

I wish I hadn’t bought these filters or the fountain. The first Catit fountain I bought worked great for a couple months, then suddenly the motor broke for no discernible reason (I have ALWAYS been very careful to maintain the water level and take care of the fountain so there is no reason for the motor to break so fast). I contacted Chewy and they sent me a replacement fountain. Great! Except, now not even a month later, the motor in THAT fountain has now also suddenly broke!! As far as the filters themselves, they do not last anywhere near a month and they are not very effective. The water always gets gross very quickly, and I even use filtered water in the first place so the filters shouldn’t have to be working so hard at all. If you want to get a cat fountain you should invest in something higher quality. I don’t recommend trying to go cheap like I did because you will just waste your money.
