Great flight, not great durability
Our pooch is a pretty gentle mouthed dog and this frisbee got trashed pretty quickly (first day). Our gentle mouthed beast does shake the frisbee and occasionally tug it for sure. The outside circle of the frisbee is a floaty kind of material that cracked. We've had it about 2-3 weeks and it is now cracked in 3 places and the center fabric is torn in one place. However, the GREAT NEWS is that it is still AWESOME in flight. Despite all that damage, it still throws very well and we are in no hurry to replace it. It does float. Very light weight. Any beast that is harder on toys will shred this frisbee in seconds. But for a gentle mouthed dog who can quickly be encouraged not to tug, it's a worthwhile purchase.
Best toy ever.
My Miniature American Shepherd loves these. It’s the best dog frisbee I’ve found. Soft enough for them to catch without hurting their mouth and heavy enough that you can sling it a pretty long way. It’s not a chew toy, nor does it stand up well to tug-o-war, but that’s not what’s it’s made for. If your dog is one like mine, who likes to play tug-o-war after they retrieve a toy, make sure you work with them on dropping it. I will say that the smaller version does not throw well. It tends to curve bad to the left if you try to throw it hard or far. It’s good for short and slow throws, but that’s it.
Our FAVORITE Frisbee
This frisbee floats SO NICE and it is soft on my dog's mouth when she catches. After trying out many others (hard and soft), we ended up buying three more of these ones. I hope they never stop making them, it will be our go-to frisbee forever!
Frisbee that doesn't damage teeth!
Our dog who is a chocolate lab/chocolate border collie mix at 70 pounds just LOVES this toy. Every time one wears out, we order another one for him. He loves running to catch it and it is a highlight of his day! This is great for playing in the lake with too. Great swimming exercise for him. He'd go at it all day long if allowed!
Fun and games
Our 21 month old GSD loves playing frisbee with this toy, easy to throw, travels smoothly and soft on the dog's mouth. Her favorite chase toy.
Shakes up fetch a little bit!
Doesn't always fly the best, but my pup loves chasing it down! It's got a nice rubber rim that he seems to love to hold.
Cute little frisbee. Didn’t check the measurements. Expected it be dinner plate size, but got an appetizer plate, instead. Well made, colorful, perfect for small pups.
Not very durable
We've had Chuckit's in the past and the seemed more durable. Could just be this particular one. My dog had it chewed up before we had a chance to throw it. :(
Great, extreme chewer beware
Absolutely love these frisbees. They are great for throwing, they have a foam outer ring and not the sketchy plastic tube, the nylon is very durable. The pups absolutely are crazy about them, go nuts everytime we bring them out. However, they are destroyers of all their toys. As much love we have for these, they need to be taken away if you have an extreme chewer like we do. The best thing about them is their outer foam ring, even if they chew through it, it still flies, just not as good.
Not for tough play
This frisbee is a great size and glides nicely. That said, this is not a toy for dogs who play rough and/or chew. My dog likes to play tug before I throw it, and it didn't take long for the seams to tear. From there, she easily ripped out the whole outer circle (made of a foam material) in one fell swoop! Great for small/softer dogs, not so great for anything more.
