The birds love this stuff. I buy this one and the woodpecker nuggets. The morning doves even like it. I have the cs nugget feeder that I partially fill then a flat tray I put some in for the cardinals and doves. I have a squirrel x feeder (see attached photo for reference)that I keep filled for the small birds and it keeps the starling and bluejays out. But the red bellied woodpecker seems to have figured out how to squeeze his head in also which very cool to watch. I love the fact that I don't have the waste on the ground and no mice or chipmunks. Highly recommend*****
Unfortunately I am giving up on this product. I tried but none of the birds are eating it! It is not the feeder because I had watched to see they tried it. Not even the squirrels want it! So I have nothing I can do with it but toss it out. I gave it months before I decided to toss it and write the review. It is really unfortunate I was very excited to find this product. The idea was exactly what I needed for my feeders. Too bad it is going to be such a waste of "food" and money.
Great for wild birds in the winter when they are really hungry. They need the calories in small pieces like these suet nuggets. Great price on Chewy.com !!
If you get lucky your order will arrive undamaged. Mine has a fifty fifty average.
I had 2 Duncraft Squirrel Proof Suet feeders, but they didn't last long. Squirrels and raccoons chewed through the bars and chipmunks could still easily get to the suet cakes. I found new feeders that were sturdier, but needed suet nuggets, so I decided to give these a try and they've worked out just great. The feeder has been untouched by other animals, the birds love the little suet nuggets and I no longer have to touch greasy fat cakes...so a win-win-win!
We feed sunflower seed, block suet, suet nuggets, and peanuts. These suet nuggets go the fastest, thus must be the favorite. Doesn't seem to matter which flavor. Cardinals, Blue Jays, several kinds of Woodpeckers, Chickadees, Nuthatches, Finches, and everybody else likes these. I fill the dispenser up and go back in the house - by the time I'm in the house (maybe 15 feet) there are birds on the nuggets already.
Though I didn't realize this was one HUGE bag of suet nuggets I don't think it matters. The big bag is easier to fill the feeders from than the smaller bags. Plus it seals shut to keep it fresh. Birds go wild for it!
The birds just love it! We have 2 kinds of woodpeckers, bluejays and some smaller blue birds that we just saw today and robins all eating the nuggets!
Our birds here in nc love these. They gobble it up .it doesn't last very long
Such a favorite, it is hard to keep the suet feeder full! Have to buy more.
