Feeding Instructions

Feed about 1 can per 3 - 3 1/2 lbs of body weight per day. Divide into 2 or more feedings per day. Feed at room temperature and refrigerate unused portion, your cat should have access to clean and fresh water.

Transition Instructions

A gradual transition to new food will avoid stomach issues, so don't change your dog's dishes all at once. Instead, mix the new food with your dog's old food. Throughout a week, gradually decrease the proportion of old food while increasing the proportion of new food.

    Turkey dinner pate

By Misty on Nov 22, 2021

This cat food was very watery, better when it’s cold. My cat does eat it but I can tell she prefers what I normally buy. Tried it for a change.

It’s not caviar, but the foster approves

By Fosterwhipped on Aug 11, 2021

I was skeptical at first. My foster cat is FIV+, toothless, and recovering from a flare up of stomatitis. I was feeding him Koha’s chicken pâté, but I may as well have been feeding him caviar. Dave’s is not caviar, but it’s reasonably healthy, mixes well enough with water to form a smooth-enough stew to not exacerbate his mouth issues, is relatively inexpensive, and I mix supplements (lysine, Plaque-Off, and hopefully something with lactoferrin soon enough) in it anyway so even if it’s not nutritionally superior to Koha it does the trick well enough. I’m able to get 2-3 meals out of one can, which is enabling me to keep this cute little guy fed. The only thing that would make this product better I was skeptical at first. The only thing that would make this product better from an advertising/marketing standpoint is if this company was related to Dave’s Killer Bread. Dave’s Killer Cat Food has a nice, controversial ring to it, don’t you think? … more

    chewy to the rescue

By SNOWY on Sep 14, 2021

My local cat rescue outlet has been unable to get Dave's cat food so I turned to Chewy since I already purchase cat litter from you. I am impressed with the quality and speed of the service you provide. Thank You.

    Kitties not a fan

By Adriana on Sep 7, 2021

I bought this food because of the ingredients and low carb content. Should have been a hit, but none of my kitties would eat it. After 3 cans of uneaten food, I donated the rest to a rescue.

One of the Rare 12.5 oz Can Companies - Made in the US

By Nekilof on Jun 17, 2021

I have 2 cats & one of them is missing all of her teeth (despite being 5 years old), and they both love Dave's Turkey and Giblets. The giblets aren't large enough to pose a choking hazard for my toothless girl. They both cry for this flavor when they see me opening a can. My toothless girl has food anxiety issues, and Dave's keeps her full for about 4-5 hours on 1.5 oz of food per feed. Because of my one toothless girl, I have to buy canned food. Canned food can get very expensive if you're forced to buy smaller can sizes. I love that Dave's is one of the rare companies that have a 12.5 oz. can size and you can get a case of 12. 2 cases last me the whole month with 2 cats. By Freemansfreeloaders on Sep 19, 2021

    The Cats Said No

By Melissa on Jul 31, 2021

I’m giving this three stars because I think this must be a good product & if your cat isn’t picky they’ll probably like it. I’ve been trying to find a good quality cat food but my two spoiled cats wouldn’t eat it unfortunately.
