Beef meal is a popular ingredient in dog food. It is the dry rendered part from mammal tissues, specially prepared for feeding purposes by tanking under live steam or dry rendering. Though the meat has been cooked, dried, and ground, it is still meat, and has not had any blood, hair, hoof, horn, hide trimmings, manure, stomach or rumen contents added to it.

My dog could not tolerate

I don’t think my dog is particularly sensitive, maybe a little. Usually she’s fine if I buy good quality food. The day I started her on this food I started finding

I don’t think my dog is particularly sensitive, maybe a little. Usually she’s fine if I buy good quality food. The day I started her on this food I started finding piles of vomit all over the house and then I noticed she was 10X her normal level of itchy. Over a couple of days it got worse and she was miserable. I had to throw this food away. As soon as I went back to her previous brand everything resolved. That’s what I get for trying to save a few pennies.

Not good for my dogs

I don't know what is in this brand of dog food, but it's not good for my dogs. They're throwing up, especially my German/Dutch Shepherd. It doesn't seem to bother

I don't know what is in this brand of dog food, but it's not good for my dogs. They're throwing up, especially my German/Dutch Shepherd. It doesn't seem to bother my Lab/Rhodesian very much, except she became very gassy. I'm going back to The dog food that I originally purchased in the past. This was a Big mistake on my part, as I was trying to save $$, thinking this was just as good. :(

My dogs refused to eat this brand. I start off mixing a small amount with the old food and they would eat everything but this almost picking it out and spitting

My dogs refused to eat this brand. I start off mixing a small amount with the old food and they would eat everything but this almost picking it out and spitting it on the floor so increased the amount food slowly every day and still they would pick out the old stuff. I came home one day and the food bowl was spilled on the floor and they had picked out all the old stuff. When I ran out of the old food I left the bowl out for 3 days and they still refused to eat it. Day 4 I was so concerned they would starve I ran out to the store and bought the old kind and they ate the whole bowl full.

Size changed...

Both of my dogs loved this brand until the last shipment. The size of the pellets changed dramatically and now they both get severe gas and my boxer eats it too
